Shade (The Flash)
The third season of the American television series ''The Flash'', which is based on the DC Comics character Barry Allen / Flash, a costumed superhero crime-fighter with the power to move at super speeds, follows Barry as he deals with the consequences of his decision to save his mother, which creates a timeline called " Flashpoint", and the resulting emergence of a new foe in Savitar. It is set in the Arrowverse, sharing continuity with the other television series of the universe, and is a spin-off of ''Arrow''. The season was produced by Berlanti Productions, Warner Bros. Television, and DC Entertainment, with Andrew Kreisberg, Aaron and Todd Helbing serving as showrunners. The season was ordered in March 2016, and production began that July, lasting until April 2017. Thomas Grant Gustin (born January 14, 1990) is an American actor and singer. He is best known for his roles as Barry Allen (Arrowverse), Barry Allen / The Flash on The CW series ''The Flash (2014 TV series), The Flash'' as part of the Arrowverse, and as Sebastian Smythe on the Fox Broadcasting Company, Fox series ''Glee (TV series), Glee''. Early life Thomas Grant Gustin was born on January 14, 1990, in Norfolk, Virginia. He is the son of Tina Haney, a pediatric nurse, and Thomas Gustin, a college professor. During his high school years, he attended the Governor's School for the Arts program in Norfolk for musical theater. He also went to Hurrah Players Incorporated which is a theater organization in Virginia. Aaron Helbing and Todd Helbing are American sibling screenwriters who had formerly worked as a team. They are known for their work on the Starz series ''Spartacus'' and '' Black Sails'', and for The CW superhero drama ''The Flash''. They stopped writing together after Season 3 of ''The Flash'', splitting into separate careers. ''Flashpoint'' is a 2011 comic book crossover story arc published by DC Comics. Consisting of an eponymous core limited series and a number of tie-in titles, the storyline premiered in May 2011. The core miniseries was written by Geoff Johns and pencilled by Andy Kubert.
