Sha'ari Tadin
Sha'ari bin Tadin (2 August 1931 – 13 December 2009) was a Singaporean politician who was the first Member of Parliament (MP) of Malay descent who graduated from a university. He was highly regarded as Cikgu Sha'ari, which translate to "Teacher Sha'ari" in English, for his role as an educator. Education Sha'ari was born in Kuala Pilah, Negri Sembilan, Federated Malay States (now Malaysia). He was an ethnic Malay of Minangkabau descent and was the eldest of six siblings. He was educated at the Malay School in Kuala Pilah and completed his primary education in the sixth grade (Darjah 6) during the Japanese occupation of Malaya from 1942–1945. Kuala Pilah
Kuala Pilah (Negeri Sembilan Malay: ''Kolo Pilah''), or simply Pilah, is a town in Kuala Pilah District, Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia. Townscape Kuala Pilah is an old valley town with many of the pre-war Chinese shop houses still fronting the main streets surrounded by traditional style Malay village houses built on stilts nestled among extensive rice fields. It has a sizeable Chinese community that has existed since the mining days during the early British rule. This community today engages in trading and providing essential services such as workshops, hairdressing and coffee shops. The town is especially busy on weekends due to the flood of folks returning from Kuala Lumpur, usually to visit their parents or to tend to their family plots, where around the area is mostly Malays that migrated to Kuala Lumpur in search of better prospects and 'the bright lights'. Chai Chee
Chai Chee (), also known as Kampong Chai Chee, is a housing estate located in the town of Bedok in Singapore. The estate was named after a village known as Kampong Chai Chee which formerly occupied the vicinity. It is served by two major namesake roads, namely Chai Chee Street and Chai Chee Drive, with minor lanes of Chai Chee Road, Chai Chee Avenue and the original Jalan Chai Chee.
