''Seven Words'' is the sixth studio album by British thrash metal band Xentrix Xentrix () are an English thrash metal band from Preston, Lancashire. The band were formed in 1984 under the name Sweet Vengeance. They changed their name to Xentrix in 1988, and released four albums – '' Shattered Existence'' (1989), ''For ..., and released 11 November 2022 through Listenable Records. To promote the upcoming release the band produced music videos for both the title track, "Seven Words", and "Reckless with a Smile". Background Guitarist Kristian Havard revealed prior that the LP is a "culmination of the last two years of experimenting and trying new ideas. Xentrix
Xentrix () are an English thrash metal band from Preston, Lancashire. The band were formed in 1984 under the name Sweet Vengeance. They changed their name to Xentrix in 1988, and released four albums – '' Shattered Existence'' (1989), ''For Whose Advantage?'' (1990), ''Kin'' (1992) and ''Scourge'' (1996) – before splitting up in 1997. After briefly reuniting in 2005–2006, Xentrix reunited once again in 2013, and they have since released two more albums: '' Bury the Pain'' (2019) and ''Seven Words'' (2022). As part of the underground metal scene of the late 1980s and early-to-mid 1990s, Xentrix have been referred to as one of the "big four" of English thrash metal, along with Acid Reign, Onslaught and Sabbat. Andy Sneap
Andy Sneap (born 18 July 1969) is an English guitarist, record producer and composer with over 100 albums to his name, most of which have been produced at his Backstage Recording studios in rural Derbyshire. Some of the most critically acclaimed production work on albums include ''Deliverance'' by Opeth and '' Disarm the Descent'' by Killswitch Engage; for which he earned a Swedish Grammis and a US Grammy nomination, respectively. As a performer, he first built his reputation as one of the guitarists in the British thrash metal band Sabbat, and played with them up until their disbanding. He is currently one of the co-guitarists of the British heavy metal band Hell. In 2018 he joined Judas Priest as a touring guitarist, following long-time lead guitarist Glenn Tipton's diagnosis of Parkinson's disease which conflicts with his touring abilities. ''Bury the Pain'' is the fifth studio album by British thrash metal band Xentrix, released on 7 June 2019 in Europe and 21 June 2019 in North America, 25 years after their previous album ''Scourge A scourge is a whip or lash, especially a multi-thong type, used to inflict severe corporal punishment or self-mortification. It is usually made of leather. Etymology The word is most commonly considered to be derived from Old French ''escorgi ...''. A music video was produced for the albums title track, "Bury the Pain". It marks the first album with new guitarist/vocalist Jay Walsh, replacing their previous member Chris Astley. In a post on the band's official Facebook page, they stated that by the end of 2015, Astley had no longer wanted to be a part of Xentrix and had left the band. "Billion Dollar Babies" is a popular 1973 single by the rock group Alice Cooper, the title track taken from the album ''Billion Dollar Babies''. It was released in July 1973, months after the album had been released. The track is a duet between Alice Cooper and Scottish musician Donovan, who provides the falsetto and high harmony vocals. BMI lists the composers of "Billion Dollar Babies" as Alice Cooper, Michael Bruce and Reggie Vinson (a session guitarist who had worked with the Alice Cooper band previously).
