Seven Bloodstained Orchids
''Seven Blood-Stained Orchids'' ( it, Sette orchidee macchiate di rosso) is a 1972 giallo film, ''giallo'' film directed by Umberto Lenzi, who also co-wrote the screenplay. Plot A killer is driving around the streets of Italy looking for a specific victim who happens to be an older woman that lives alone. The killer breaks in and kills her with a switchblade, and catches a glimpse of the woman's daughter in a photograph before leaving and plots to kill her next. The killer follows through with that by posing as a client of one of her escorts and beating her to death in a field. Elsewhere, a soon to be married Giulia Torresi is picking a dress for her marriage to a wealthy clothing designer by the name of Mario when she receives a mysterious call from an unknown caller, who simply hangs up when asked their identity. Umberto Lenzi
Umberto Lenzi (6 August 1931 – 19 October 2017) was an Italian film director, screenwriter, and novelist. A fan of film since young age, Lenzi studied at the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia and made his first film in 1958 which went unreleased, while his official debut happened in 1961 with ''Queen of the Seas''. Lenzi's films of the 1960s followed popular trends of the era, which led to him directing several spy and erotic thriller films. He followed in suit in the 1970s making ''giallo'' films, crime films and making the first Italian cannibal film with ''Man from the Deep River''. He continued making films up until the 1990s and later worked as a novelist writing a series of murder mysteries. Marina Malfatti
Marina Malfatti (25 April 1933 – 8 June 2016) was an Italian actress. Biography Born in Florence, Malfatti moved to Paris at the age of 17 where she attended the Cours d'Art Dramatique, the drama school founded by René Simon. Two years later, after returning to Italy, she obtained a scholarship for the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia and started appearing in films and on stage in some small roles. Richard Horatio Edgar Wallace (1 April 1875 – 10 February 1932) was a British writer. Born into poverty as an illegitimate London child, Wallace left school at the age of 12.
