Sevastian "Bebe" Iovănescu (2 October 1953 in Prunișor, Ghelmegioaia – 29 March 2010 in Constanța) was a Romanian Association football, football player. Career Iovănescu played over 350 matches in the Romanian first division, scoring more than 50 goals, with FC Steaua București, Steaua București, FC Argeș Pitești, Argeș Pitești, FC Olt Scornicești, Olt Scornicești and Farul Constanța. Iovănescu made one appearance at international level for Romania national football team, Romania, playing on 13 May 1979 under coach Florin Halagian in a 1–1 against Cyprus national football team, Cyprus at the UEFA Euro 1980 qualifying Group 3, Euro 1980 qualifiers. The Liga 2, most often spelled as Liga II, is the second level of the Romanian football league system. The league changed its name from Divizia B just before the start of the 2006–07 Liga II, 2006–07. It is currently Sponsor (commercial), sponsored by Casa Pariurilor, a betting company with the official name Liga 2 Casa Pariurilor. Format Divisions Since its inception in 1934, Liga II had between 2 and 9 parallel divisions, with clubs divided based on geographic regions. Generally, Seria I included eastern teams while Seria II included western sides, although clubs near the center of the country are allowed to choose in which series they will compete. The first six teams from each series participate in a play-off for potential promotion to Liga I.
