Seté Elias Muianga (born 16 July 1979) is a Mozambique basketball player currently with Maxaquene Maputo of the Mozambique Professional Basketball League. Mozambique
Mozambique (), officially the Republic of Mozambique ( pt, Moçambique or , ; ny, Mozambiki; sw, Msumbiji; ts, Muzambhiki), is a country located in southeastern Africa bordered by the Indian Ocean to the east, Tanzania to the north, Malawi and Zambia to the northwest, Zimbabwe to the west, and Eswatini and South Africa to the southwest. Maxaquene Maputo
Clube de Desportos do Maxaquene, usually known simply as Maxaquene, is a sports club based in Maputo, Mozambique. The club is nicknamed ''Maxaca''. Currently besides football (soccer) there are two indoor sports namely basketball ( CD Maxaquene Basketball) and handball. In such sports Maxaquene is only the club with the most national titles after independence. Maxaquene won its first post-independence title in football, the Taça de Moçambique, in 1978. Prior to Mozambique's independence from Portugal, Maxaquene were known as Sporting Clube de Lourenço Marques or simply ''Sporting de Lourenço Marques'' (Lourenço Marques being the name for Maputo before independence). Mozambique National Basketball Team
The Mozambique national basketball team ( pt, seleção moçambicana de basquetebol masculino) is the basketball team that represents Mozambique in international competitions. It is administered by the Federação Moçambicana de Basquetebol (FMB) (Mozambique Basketball Federation). Mozambique has qualified for several major international competitions, including the FIBA Africa Championship and the All-Africa Games where they won the Silver Medal at the 2011 event. Altogether it has qualified for the FIBA Africa Championship a total of 14 times, with their best result being the 5th place in 1983. The 2005 FIBA Africa Championship was the 23rd FIBA Africa Championship, played under the rules of FIBA, the world governing body for basketball, and the FIBA Africa thereof. The tournament was hosted by Algeria from August 15 to 24 2005 and took place at the Salle Omnisports La Coupole. FIBA Africa Championship 2009
AfroBasket 2009 was the 25th FIBA Africa Championship, played under the auspices of the Fédération Internationale de Basketball, the basketball sport governing body, and the African zone thereof. At stake were the three berths allocated to Africa in the 2010 FIBA World Championship. The tournament was hosted by Libya after Nigeria, the original host, withdrew from hosting after not conforming to FIBA Africa guidelines. Angola won its sixth consecutive African championship and tenth overall by beating Côte d'Ivoire 82-72 in the championship game. Tunisia won the bronze medal game over Cameroon to earn its first-ever FIBA World Championship berth.
