Setanta Sports Media is a sports television company based in Dublin, Ireland and in Tbilisi, Georgia, broadcasting throughout select Eurasian countries, and the Philippines. The company was formed in 1990 to facilitate the broadcasting of Irish sporting events to international audiences. The company previously operated channels in Ireland, the UK, Asia, Africa, Australia, the United States, and Canada. It is currently owned by Georgia-based media outlet Adjarasport. Operations Current Eurasia Setanta Sports sold the majority of its operations, however it continues to own and operate its operations in Georgia, Ukraine, and CIS. LFCTV (Liverpool F.C. TV) is the dedicated official channel for English football club Liverpool F.C. which launched on 20 September 2007. It was formerly offered as part of the Setanta Sports package, but is currently a stand-alone channel. Celtic TV is the official Internet channel of Celtic F.C. It was a television channel until 2009 but was relaunched online, replacing Channel 67. History Launched in 2004, Celtic TV was operated by the Irish company Setanta Sports and was available on satellite and cable platforms in the UK and Ireland until the demise of the Pay TV operator's UK operation on 23 June 2009, resulting in all of the Setanta run channels including, Celtic TV and its Old Firm counterpart, Rangers TV, being closed. Arsenal TV was a sports television channel devoted to coverage of the English football club Arsenal F.C. It was a part of the Setanta Sports package and was similar to other Setanta's other channels Celtic TV, Rangers TV and LFC TV. Arsenal TV has been continued in the way of its successors being Arsenal's Web Player and Arsenal on YouTube.
