Camilo Blanes Cortés (16 September 1946 – 8 September 2019), known professionally as Camilo Sesto "El Rey del Amor", was a Spanish singer, songwriter and music producer. There are various sales figures for him, ranging from 70 to 200 million records sold, and the singer himself claimed to have sold more than 175 million records. However, his official sales would represent around than 2.8 million copies worldwide, including nearly 900,000 certified. Cesare da Sesto (1477–1523) was an Italian painter of the Renaissance active in Milan and elsewhere in Italy. Life Cesare da Sesto was born in Sesto Calende, Lombardy. He is considered one of the ''Leonardeschi'' or artists influenced by Leonardo da Vinci, such as Bernardino Luini and Marco d'Oggiono. He may have trained or worked with Baldassare Peruzzi in Rome in 1505. Of this period, a lunette in Sant'Onofrio and some paintings in Campagnano Romano are attributed to him. From 1514 he sojourned in Naples for six years. In 1515 he finished a monumental polyptych for the Abbey of Santissima Trinità at Cava de' Tirreni and produced '' Leda and the Swan'', a copy after Leonardo's own work on the subject. Back in Milan, he executed a ''Baptism of Christ'', in collaboration with Bernardino Bernazzano (now lost) and a ''Salomè'', acquired by Rudolf II and now at the Kunsthistorisches Museum of Vienna. Count Sesto is the title borne by the current head of the existing noble family of that name, of ancient Genoese and subsequently Sicilian origin. The comital family traces its origins as a collateral branch of the patrician Spinola family of Genova, subsequently created Marquis and then Duke of Sesto and Marquis of Venafro (sometimes called Benafro). Sesto Bruscantini (10 December 1919 – 4 May 2003) was an Italian baritone, one of the greatest buffo singers of the post-war era, especially renowned in Mozart and Rossini. Biography and career Bruscantini was born in Civitanova Marche, Marche, Italy. After obtaining a law degree, he turned to vocal studies in Rome, with Luigi Ricci at the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia. Sesto Pals, pen name of Simion (or Semion) Șestopali (born Шестопаль, also rendered as ''S(h)estopal'', ''Sestopaly'', or ''Sestopali''; ca. 1912 – October 27, 2002), was a Russian-born Romanian and Israeli writer. Primarily a poet-philosopher, he also earned recognition as a graphic artist. He first became known in his teenage years, when, as a friend and associate of Gherasim Luca, he put out the review ''Alge''. Its avant-garde aesthetics and its testing of censorship resulted in their prosecution. While Luca endured as a public intellectual and a founder of the Romanian surrealist cell, Pals became a recluse. Forgotten by the general public, exposed to antisemitic and later communist persecution, he continued to write for himself and an intimate circle of friends. Sesto Prete (September 27, 1919 in Montefiore dell'Aso - June 15, 1991 in Cagli, Italy) was an Italian-born American philologist and paleographer. Biography Sesto Prete studied classical philology in Italy and Germany, graduating first in Cologne in 1944 with Gunther Jachmann presenting a thesis on the concept of humanitas in Roman comedy, and then in Bologna in 1945 with Pietro Ferrarino, discussing a thesis on the concept of "Liberalitas" in the Roman comedy. Prete taught as a Lecturer in Latin at the University of Bologna (1946–1949) and as Professor of Latin and Greek at the high school of Forlì. In 1955 he was Scientific Collaborator in the Vatican Library. He then moved to the United States, where he was a Professor from 1956 to 1968 at Fordham University in New York City. Sesto Rocchi (1909–1991) was a violin maker from Reggio Emilia, Italy. Biography Sesto Rocchi was born in Reggio Emilia, Italy. He started his violin making studies at the School of Violin Making at the Conservatory of Music in Parma under Gaetano Scarabotto. After approximately 6 years of study, he moved to Milan to further his learning with Leandro Bisiach. Between 1956 and 1988 Sesto served on every prestigious violin making body including an appointment (1980) as the custodian of the Niccolò Paganini Guaneri del Gesu “Canon”. He acquired over 17 international competition awards for his violins from 1952 to 1966. Sesto Fiorentino (), known locally as just Sesto, is a municipality (''comune'') in the Metropolitan City of Florence, Tuscany, central Italy. History The oldest known human settlement in the area dates from the Mesolithic (c. 9,000 years ago). The Etruscan presence is known from the 7th century BC, but the town proper was created by the Romans as ''Sextus ab urbe lapis'' ("Sixth mile from the Town Milestone").
