Service Year Alliance is an American nonprofit organization headquartered in Washington, D.C. History The organization was formed in 2016 through the merger of three historical national service efforts (the Franklin Project at the Aspen Institute, Service Nation and the Service Year Exchange project of the National Conference on Citizenship). In March 2018 the organization acquired AmeriCorps Alums from Points of Light. Campaigns Stop National Service Extinction Service Year Alliance launched a campaign to save funding for national service. Robert Gates
Robert Michael Gates (born September 25, 1943) is an American intelligence analyst and university president who served as the 22nd United States secretary of defense from 2006 to 2011. Citizen Schools is an American nonprofit organization that partners with middle schools across the United States to expand the learning day for children in low-income communities.
