Serra dos Aimorés is a Brazilian municipality located in the north-east of the state of Minas Gerais, at its namesake, the Serra dos Aimorés. Its population as of 2020 was 8,713 living in a total area of 215 km2. The city belongs to the statistical mesoregion of Vale do Mucuri and to the statistical microregion of Nanuque. It became a municipality in 1962. Before this time, it was a disputed region between the states of Minas Gerais and Espírito Santo. Geography Serra dos Aimorés is located at an elevation of 209 meters on the state boundary with Bahia. The nearest major population center is Nanuque. Most of the population lives in the urban area. Nanuque
Nanuque is a municipality in the state of Minas Gerais, in the southeastern region of Brazil, belonging to Mucuri Valley and the Nanuque region. The relief consists of inselbergs and seas of hills, and the Serra dos Aimorés as predominant characteristic. It is the 79th most populous city in the state, and the 2nd within its region, with 40,665 inhabitants according to the 2020 estimate. Poços De Caldas
Poços de Caldas is a Municipalities of Brazil, municipality in the south of Minas Gerais state, Brazil, in the microregion of the same name. Its estimated population in 2020 was 168,641 inhabitants. The city is known for its hot springs. History Poços was founded in 1872. The region had been inhabited by the Cataguases Indians, who were expelled from their lands by the ''Bandeirantes, Bandeiras Unidas Paulistas'' during their quest for gold. The Human Development Index (HDI) is a statistical composite index of life expectancy, Education Index, education (mean years of schooling completed and expected years of schooling upon entering the education system), and per capita income indicators, which is used to rank countries into four tiers of Human development (humanity), human development. Subsistence agriculture occurs when farmers grow crops on smallholdings to meet the needs of themselves and their families.
