Serkan Özbalta
Serkan Özbalta (born 5 February 1979) is a Turkish football manager and former player. He is the manager of Sakaryaspor. Career A youth product of Gençlerbirliği, Özbalta began his senior career with Erzincanspor in 1998, and transferred to Altay in 1999. He went on loan to Mersin İY, Keskinspor, and Seyhan Belediyespor to start his career. He spent the rest of his career in various pro and semi-pro teams in the second and third divisions of Turkey. After retiring as a player, Özbalta began managing with Ankara Keçiörengücü in the TFF Second League, and in his debut season got them promoted to the TFF First League without losing a match at home. He moved to Manisa in the Second League in 2020, and again promoted the team to the TFF First League with an undefeated title and goal records. Of (, possibly from grc, Ὄφιούς ''Ophious'') is a town and district of Trabzon Province in the Black Sea region of Turkey. The Süper Lig (, ''Super League''), officially known as Spor Toto Süper Lig for sponsorship reasons, is a Turkish professional league for association football clubs. It is the top-flight of the Turkish football league system and is run by the Turkish Football Federation. In the 2022–23 season, nineteen clubs compete, where a champion is decided and three clubs are promoted from, and relegated to the 1. Lig. The season runs from August to May, with each club playing 36 matches. Matches are played Friday through Monday. The competition was initially established in 1923. The league succeeded the Turkish Football Championship and the National Division, both being former top-level national competitions. The TFF 1. Lig, officially known as Spor Toto 1. Lig for sponsorship reasons, is the second level of the Turkish football league system. The league was founded in 2001 as the ''Turkish Second League Category A'' after the reorganization of the Second Football League, which was the second level of the Turkish league system between 1963 and 2001. The league was called ''Türk Telekom Lig A'' in the 2006–2007 season, and was renamed to ''TFF First League'' prior to the 2007–08 season. As of 16 January 2008 the league was renamed as Bank Asya 1.
