''Serious Awesomeness!'' is a two-disc live DVD by American band The Aquabats, released on Fearless Records on November 18, 2003. Overview Disc one of ''Serious Awesomeness'' contains a full-length recording of a live concert performance by The Aquabats at The Glass House club in Pomona, California in February 2003, accompanied by two official music videos and a documentary featurette on the band. The Aquabats
The Aquabats are an American rock band formed in Huntington Beach, California, in 1994. Throughout many fluctuations in the group's line-up, singer the MC Bat Commander and bassist Crash McLarson have remained the band's two constant fixtures. Since 2006, the Aquabats' members also include keyboardist Jimmy the Robot, drummer Ricky Fitness and guitarist Eaglebones Falconhawk. Easily identified by their masks and matching costumes, the Aquabats are perhaps most recognized for their comedic persona in which they claim to be crime-fighting superheroes. This theme serves as subject for much of the band's music and as part of their theatrical stage shows, which typically feature various stunts and fight scenes with costumed villains and monsters. Chad Larson
Chad Albert Larson (born October 27, 1965) is an American musician, best known as the co-founder and bass guitarist for the Orange County rock band The Aquabats, in which he performs under the stage name and persona of Crash McLarson. From 2012 to 2014, Larson also played Crash McLarson on The Hub original series ''The Aquabats! Super Show!'' and on the series' 2019 YouTube-based revival ''The Aquabats! RadVentures!''. Biography Larson has been a member of The Aquabats since the group's inception, having co-founded the band alongside Christian Jacobs and Boyd Terry in 1994. In the earliest days of the band, Larson played trombone before switching to bass guitar. Richard Falomir
Richard Timothy "Ricky" Falomir is an American musician and composer, perhaps best recognized as the current drummer for the Orange County rock band The Aquabats, in which he performs under the stage name and persona of Ricky Fitness. Biography Prior to joining The Aquabats in 2002, Falomir was an original member of the Riverside punk rock band Assorted Jelly Beans, up until the group's disbandment in 1999. Assorted Jelly Beans reunited in 2008 and continue to play sporadically throughout southern California. In 2009, Falomir also briefly served as a touring drummer for the Los Angeles reggae group The Aggrolites, and in June 2014 played drums for C. J. Ramone on an East Coast US tour alongside fellow Aquabats guitarist Ian Fowles. Outside of his band, Falomir works as a composer, arranger and music director for the children's television series ''Yo Gabba Gabba!'', alongside several other members of The Aquabats including series co-creator Christian Jacobs. James Briggs (musician)
Randall James Briggs, Jr. (born February 27, 1978), credited professionally as James R. Briggs, Jr., is an American musician, best known as the keyboardist for the California rock band The Aquabats, of which he has been a member since 1996 under the stage name and persona of Jimmy the Robot. Briggs also portrayed this role on The Aquabats' 2012-2014 television series ''The Aquabats! Super Show!'' and again on its 2019 YouTube revival series ''The Aquabats! RadVentures!''. Biography Briggs joined The Aquabats in 1996, at the age of 18. In addition to keyboards, Briggs also contributed tenor saxophone to much of the band's music, up until the departure of trumpeters Catboy and Prince Adam in the early 2000s led to the band's decision to continue without a horn section, transitioning Briggs' role in the band entirely to keyboards and synthesizers, performing solo saxophone parts only on select songs for The Aquabats' live shows. Courtney Pollock
Courtney Adam "Corey" Pollock (born 31 January 1975) is an American musician, best known as a member of the Orange County band The Aquabats, in which he played guitar under the stage name of Chainsaw, the Prince of Karate (alternately Chainsaw Karate) from 1995 to 2006. Biography Pollock joined The Aquabats in 1995, replacing original guitarist Matt Van Gundy (aka "Gumby") and subsequently recording on all of the band's studio releases since their 1996 debut. In the early 2000s, while The Aquabats experienced an extended period of inactivity after being dropped from Goldenvoice Records, Pollock began a full-time career managing a custom woodworking business. By 2006, realizing his work schedule could no longer accommodate the band's return to regular touring following the comeback success of 2005's ''Charge!!'', Pollock voluntarily chose to part ways with The Aquabats to focus on his business. Adam Deibert
Adam Deibert (born August 12, 1976) is an American musician and voice actor, known for his work as a member of The Aquabats from 1994 to 2004, where he played guitar, trumpet and keyboards under the stage name of Prince Adam, and as the bass guitarist for the indie rock band Bikeride, among other projects. He also played trumpet in the Orange County Ska band The Goodwin Club in the early nineties. Deibert worked as a composer for the Nick Jr. children's series ''Yo Gabba Gabba!'', as well as providing the voice for the character of Muno the Cyclops. An educated musician, Deibert studied at the University of California, Santa Barbara as a music composition major. Pool Party!
"Pool Party!" is a song by American band The Aquabats which appears on their 2000 album ''Myths, Legends and Other Amazing Adventures, Vol. 2'', which itself was a compilation of B-sides and unreleased tracks from the recording sessions for the band's 1999 studio album ''The Aquabats vs. the Floating Eye of Death!''. Despite having never been released as a single, "Pool Party!" eventually became a perennial favorite among Aquabats fans, and has since been played at every one of the band's concerts, almost always as the closing number.
