''Serious About Men'' is the debut double album by comedy hip-hop duo The Rubberbandits, released on December 2, 2011 by Lovely Men Records. The Rubberbandits
The Rubberbandits are an Irish comedy hip-hop duo from Limerick city. They consist of Blindboy Boatclub (real name Dave Chambers) and Mr Chrome (sometimes Bobby Chrome; real name Bob McGlynn). During performances and interviews, they conceal their identities with masks made from plastic shopping bags. They are often accompanied by DJ Willie O'DJ, a silent masked caricature of local politician Willie O'Dea (portrayed by several consecutive men, including Spin South West DJ Paul Webb). The group describe themselves as artists, and have dubbed their movement as "Gas Cuntism". Chambers and McGlynn met while attending Ardscoil RÃs, Limerick. Video A video for the song was released on 24 February 2011, which was later removed (It was re-uploaded on November 30, 2011, except the song had slightly altered, they call this the album version). The duo also released a video for the Irish language version of the song, "Ba Mhaith Liom BruÃon le d'Athair", which, as of November 2015, has over a million views. The Irish Albums Chart is the Irish music industry standard albums popularity chart issued weekly by the Irish Recorded Music Association (IRMA). The charts were previously compiled on behalf of IRMA by Chart-Track, and have been compiled by the Official Charts Company since 2017. Chart rankings are based on sales, which are compiled through over-the-counter retail data captured electronically each day from retailers' Point of sale systems and certain digital retailers. All major record stores and over forty independents submit data for the charts, accounting for over 80% of the market, according to Chart-Track.
