Association football, Football is the most popular sport in San Marino, as well as in Italy, the country within which it is an enclave. Domestic football The Campionato Sammarinese di Calcio, San Marino Championship, founded under the auspices of the FSGC (San Marino Football Federation), is the premier footballing competition in San Marino. Fifteen teams take part in the competition, which are split into two groups of eight and seven teams. The top three teams from each section progress to a semi-knockout style Championship Playoff. The playoff champion earns a spot in the preliminary rounds of the UEFA Europa League, Europa League, and in 2007, UEFA granted San Marino a spot in the 1st Qualifying Round of the UEFA Champions League, Champions League. FC Domagnano
Football Club Domagnano, commonly referred to as FC Domagnano or simply Domagnano, is a Sanmarinese football club, based in Domagnano. The club was founded in 1966. Domagnano currently plays in ''Girone B'' of Campionato Sammarinese di Calcio. The team's colors are red and yellow. Previously known as SP Domagnano, the side has been one of the most successful teams in the Campionato Sammarinese. In the 2004–05 season, Domagnano won the championship with a play-off win over S.S. Murata. As the Sammarinese champions, Domagnano entered the UEFA Cup but was defeated easily in the first qualifying round. Some of Domagnano's rivals are S.S. Pennarossa and A.C. Libertas. A.C. Juvenes/Dogana is a San Marino, Sammarinese football (soccer), football club based in Dogana, in the civil parish of Serravalle (San Marino), Serravalle. The club was founded in 2000 in association football, 2000 after the merger of S.S. Juvenes (named after a historical side in San Marino) and G.S. Dogana.
