Seri Pahlawan Gagah Perkasa
The Grand Knight of Valour ( ms, Darjah Kebesaran Seri Pahlawan Gagah Perkasa) is the highest federal award which can be presented in Malaysia. It was created on 29 July 1960 and was gazetted on 11 August 1960. The award is the highest ranking in the list of the Malaysian Federal Ranking of Awards, and is ranked higher than the Order of the Royal Family of Malaysia (D.K.M.) awarded to Malaysian Royalty. Criteria The Grand Knight of Valour is awarded to those Malaysians who have shown, "supreme courage and bravery in extraordinary and highly dangerous situations". The number of awards is not limited, and may be conferred to any eligible person, both civilian and military. The 21st Special Service Group (Abbreviation, Abbr.: 21 SSG, ) is a Command (military formation), command for Malaysian Army special forces, the ''Gerak Khas (Malaysian Army unit), Gerak Khas''. ASP Mohd Zabri Bin Abdul Hamid, S.P. was a police officer most remembered as a member and officer of the Royal Malaysia Police 69 Commandos of the Pasukan Gerakan Khas. Background Mohd Zabri was born in Tapah, Perak on 15 August 1937 and was the second child of nine siblings from the couple Abdul Hamid and Mahiyah binti Mohd Shah. He received his early education from Tapah Malay School and then continued his studies at the English Government School, Tapah until he completed Senior Cambridge. The 69 Commando (, Jawi: ٦٩ كومندو); also known as Very Able Troopers 69 (abbreviation: VAT 69) is an elite multi-tasking special forces unit of the Royal Malaysia Police. Corporal Mat Aznan bin Awang (28 December 1960 – 4 October 1993) was a Malaysian Army soldier who served in the Malaysian Armed Forces, Malaysian Battilion (MALBATT) of the United Nations Operation in Somalia II (UNOSOM II).
