Sergio Rodolfo Santín Spinelli (born August 6, 1956 in Salto) is a retired football striker from Uruguay, who was nicknamed "Bocha" during his professional career. Career Having made his official debut on July 18, 1980 against Peru (2-2), Santín obtained a total number of 18 international caps for the Uruguay national football team. He represented his native country at the 1986 FIFA World Cup, wearing the number eleven jersey. Salto, Uruguay
Salto () is the capital city of the Salto Department in northwestern Uruguay. As of the 2011 census it had a population of 104,028 and is the third most populated city in Uruguay, after Montevideo and Ciudad de la Costa. Location and geography The city is located on Route 3 about northwest of Montevideo, and on the east bank of the Río Uruguay across from the city of Concordia in Argentina. 1986 FIFA World Cup
The 1986 FIFA World Cup was the 13th FIFA World Cup, a quadrennial football tournament for men's senior national teams. It was played in Mexico from 31 May to 29 June 1986. The tournament was the second to feature a 24-team format. Colombia had been originally chosen to host the competition by FIFA but, largely due to economic reasons, was not able to do so, and resigned in 1982. Mexico was selected as the new host in May 1983, and became the first country to host the World Cup more than once, after previously hosting in 1970. The World Cup was won by Argentina (their second title, after winning in 1978). Argentina was captained by the 25-year-old Diego Maradona, who played a large part in his team's success by scoring his " Hand of God" goal, as well as another voted "Goal of the Century", in the same quarter-final against England. The coaching staff is a group of non-athletes tied to a sports team. A coaching staff can be existent at all levels of athletics. It is led by a head coach (known as a manager or senior coach in some sports) and consists of one or more assistant coaches, physicians, massage therapists, Athletic trainers, equipment managers, nutritionists and others, all required to pass training courses for reliability. It has been suggested that when there is an upbeat and positive coaching staff with healthy relationships with the athletes, the outcome and experience of the team as a whole will benefit overall.
