Sergio Jacobini is an Italian former tennis player. Jacoboni was a four-time national doubles champion from Rome, active on tour in the 1950s and 1960s. He was singles champion at Aix-en-Provence in 1955. At the 1957 French Championships he had a win over ninth-seed Pierre Darmon en route to the fourth round. Nicola "Nicky" Pietrangeli (; born 11 September 1933) is a former Italian tennis player. He won two singles titles at the French Championships and is considered by many to be Italy's greatest tennis champion. Rodney George Laver (born 9 August 1938) is an Australian former tennis player. Laver was the world number 1 ranked professional in some sources in 1964, in all sources from 1965 to 1969 and in some sources in 1970, spanning four years before and three years after the start of the Open Era in 1968. He was also ranked the world number 1 amateur in 1961 by Lance Tingay and 1962 by Tingay and Ned Potter. Laver's 200 singles titles are the most in tennis history. Orlando Sirola (30 April 1928 – 13 November 1995) was a male tennis player from Italy. Biography Sirola was born in Fiume, today the Croatian city of Rijeka. He only began playing tennis at the age of 22. In 1958 he won the singles title at the Bavarian Tennis Championships in Munich after a five-set victory in the final against Luis Ayala. Pierre Darmon (born 14 January 1934) is a French former tennis player. He was ranked No.8 in the world in 1963, and also reached the top ten in 1958 and 1964. Early life Darmon was born in Tunis, Tunisia. He moved to France at 17 years of age. Tennis career Darmon was French national junior champion in 1950. He was France's top-ranked tennis player from 1957 to 1969, and won the national title nine times in that period. He also won the French national doubles championship in 1957 (with Paul Rémy), 1958 (with Robert Haillet), 1961 (with Gérard Pilet), and 1966 (with François Jauffret).
