Sergey Zorin
Sergey Semyonovich Zorin (russian: Сергей Семёнович Зорин, born Sergey Gumberg; 1890 – 10 September 1937), was the party's First Secretary of the Leningrad City Committee, roughly equating to that of mayor. He held the position between November 1919 and February 1921. As such, he hosted the 2nd World Congress of the Comintern. Life Sergey Semyonovich Gumberg was born in Ukraine. His father was a rabbi in Elizavetgrad and his brother, Alexander Gumberg emigrated to the United States in 1902. Sergey followed him in 1911 staying in New York. Here he became active in the Socialist Party of America. He supported himself as an unskilled labourer before returning in March 1917 with Trotsky aboard the SS ''Kristianiafjord''. Isaak Brodsky
Isaak Izrailevich Brodsky (russian: Исаак Израилевич Бродский; uk, Іса́к Ізраїльович Бро́дський, – 14 August 1939) was a Soviet painter whose work provided a blueprint for the art movement of socialist realism. He is known for his iconic portrayals of Lenin and idealized, carefully crafted paintings dedicated to the events of the Russian Civil War and Bolshevik Revolution. Life and career Brodsky was born in the village of Sofiyivka near Berdyansk in what is now Ukraine to Yisrael, a Jewish merchant. He studied at Odessa Art Academy and the Imperial Academy of Arts in Saint Petersburg. In 1916, he joined the Jewish Society for the Encouragement of the Arts. When Brodsky asked Lenin to autograph his painting ''Lenin'', he said: "I am signing to what I don't agree with for the first time". Emma Goldman (June 27, 1869 – May 14, 1940) was a Russian-born anarchist political activist and writer. Monastery Of Saint Euthymius
The Saviour Monastery of St. Euthymius is a monastery in Suzdal, Russia, founded in 1352. History Foundation The monastery was founded in 1352 by the monk Yevfimi from Nizhny Novgorod, invited by Grand Prince Boris Konstantinovich of Suzdal-Nizhny Novgorod. The monastery, originally called the Spassky, was located high over the Kamenka River and served as a fortress to protect the town from any attackers. The original monastery buildings were made of wood, however, there is no data on their appearances. Monk Yevfimi (Euthymius) became the first archimandrite and lived here until 1404. Upon his death the monastery was renamed after him into the Spaso-Yevfimiev Monastery. The Great Battle of Suzdal happened right next to the monastery, that ended with defeat or the Russians.
