Sergey Mitrokhin
Sergey Sergeyevich Mitrokhin (Russian: Серге́й Серге́евич Митро́хин; born 20 May 1963 in Moscow) is a Russian politician. He is a former leader of the Russian United Democratic Party "Yabloko". He was a member of the State Duma (1994–2003) and Moscow City Duma (2005–2009, 2019–). Mitrokhin studied at the Moscow State Pedagogical University and got his PhD in political science. Moscow City Duma
The Moscow City Duma (russian: Московская городская дума, Moskovskaya gorodskaya duma) is the Regional parliaments of Russia, regional parliament (city duma) of Moscow, a federal subjects of Russia, federal subject and the capital city of Russia. As Moscow is one of Federal cities of Russia, three federal cities, the city duma's legislation can only be overridden by the Mayor of Moscow, mayor and the federal government. Civic Platform ( rus, Гражда́нская Платфо́рма, Grazhdanskaya Platforma, ɡrɐʐˈdanskəjə plɐtˈformə) is a conservative political party in Russia. The party was formed on 4 June 2012 by businessman and 2012 presidential candidate Mikhail Prokhorov. The party was formed with 500 members, the minimum number required by law for a party to be registered in Russia, with the party originally being founded as a rudimentary mechanism through which independent candidates could stand in elections. Prokhorov announced his decision to leave the party in 2015 and was subsequently replaced by Rifat Shaykhutdinov as party leader. Since then, the party has supported President Vladimir Putin.
