Sergey Gromov
Sergey Nikolayevich Gromov (; 6 January 1959) is a Kazakh politician who served as a Deputy Chair of the Senate of Kazakhstan from January 2016 to August 2019. Biography Early life and education Gromov was born in the village of Aksu in Almaty Region. In 1981, he graduated from the Dulaty University in Taraz with a degree in hydraulic engineering, then Almaty Institute of Political Science and Management in 1991 with a degree in political science and Aulie-Ata University in 2002 with a degree in law. Career From 1981, Gromov was the assistant, teacher, and Secretary of the Komsomol Committee of the Dzhambul Irrigation and Drainage and Construction Institute and then from 1983 as Head of Department of the Dzhambul Regional Committee, First Secretary of the Dzhuvalinsky District Committee of the Lenin Communist Youth Union of Kazakhstan. Deputy Chair Of The Senate Of Kazakhstan
The Deputy Chair of the Senate of Kazakhstan () is a post in the upper house of the Parliament of Kazakhstan, Parliament which is the Senate of Kazakhstan. The Deputy Chair is nominated by the Chair of the Senate of Kazakhstan, Senate Chair who are then elected by the Senators. The post was established on 30 January 1996 and since the constitutional amendments in May 2007, the office has been occupied by two people at the same time. The Deputy Chair carries out tasks made by Senate Chair and responsibilities if the chair isn't able to fulfill them. The Deputy Chair could be dismissed by the Senators only with the proposal by the Chair. Almaty Region
Almaty Region ( kk, Алматы облысы, Almaty oblysy; russian: Алматинская область, Almatinskaya oblast) is a region in Kazakhstan, located in the southeastern part of the country. Its capital, from 1997 to 2022 was the city of Taldykorgan. But with the creation of the new Jetysu Region in 2022, Taldykorgan was chosen to be its capital and the capital of Almaty region was moved to the city of Kunayev.
