Sergei Nikolaevich Martynov ( be, Сяргей Мікалаевіч Мартынаў, russian: Серге́й Николаевич Мартынов; born 22 February 1953) is a Belarusian politician who was Minister for Foreign Affairs of Belarus from 2003 to 2012. Sergei Martynov was born in 1953 in Leninakan (now Gyumri), Armenian SSR. He graduated from the Moscow State Institute of International Relations, summa cum laude, in 1975. He previously served in diplomatic representation of Belarus in the United States and as the ambassador in Washington, D.C. between 1993 and 1997. Before his appointment as foreign minister, he also served as ambassador to Belgium, the EU and to NATO between 2001 and 2003. Sergei Martynov was appointed to the post of Foreign Minister of Belarus in March 2003 and dismissed in August 2012. Sergey Aleksandrovich Martynov (russian: Сергей Александрович Мартынов; born 22 August 1959) is a Russian statesman who serves as a senator from Mari El since 7 October 2019. Before that he worked in the apparatus of the Federation Council. He has the federal state civilian service rank of 1st class Active State Councillor of the Russian Federation. Biography Martynov was born on 22 August 1959 in Shatki, Nizhny Novgorod Oblast. In 1982, he graduated from the Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University. In 2002, he also received a degree from Northwestern Management Institute. From 1982 to 1984, he served in the Soviet Armed Forces. From 1985 to 2000, he served in the KGB. Sergei Kashfulgayanovich Martynov (russian: Сергей Кашфулгаянович Мартынов; born 2 June 1962) is a Russian serial killer, convicted for the killing of 8 people across western and central Russia between 2005 and 2010, and was earlier convicted of killing another woman in 1992. Sergei Martynov ( be, Сяргей Анатолевіч Мартынаў; new transliteration Siarhei Martynau, Łacinka Siarhiej Anatolevič Martynaŭ) (born 18 May 1968) is a Belarusian 50 m rifle shooter. He is the 2012 Olympic champion in the 50 m rifle prone event. Life and career Martynov was born in Vereya, Naro-Fominsky District, Moscow Oblast, Russian SFSR. Although a world-class competitor in the three positions event, he achieved his greatest successes in the prone event. He won bronze medals in the 50 m rifle prone events at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney and 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens. Martynov won gold at the 2006 ISSF World Shooting Championships. He also has numerous victories in ISSF World Cups and World Cup Finals. He has reached the maximum score of 600 points six times in competition, more than any other shooter.
