Sergei Gorlukovich
Sergei Vadimovich Gorlukovich (russian: Серге́й Вадимович Горлукович; born 18 November 1961) is a football manager and former player who played as defender. At international level, he represented the Soviet Union and Russia national teams. Club career In the last years of the Soviet Union transfer rules softened and Gorlukovich was allowed to move to West Germany in the winter of the 1989–90 season. His first club in the Bundesliga was Borussia Dortmund. International career In international football, Gorlukovich played at the 1990 and 1994 FIFA World Cups, and also in Euro 1996. He made his debut for USSR on 19 October 1988 in a 1990 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Austria. He scored his only national goal in a friendly against Syria on 21 November 1988. Soviet Union Olympic Football Team
The Soviet Union Olympic football team was the national association football, football team of the Soviet Union from 1952 to 1990. The team participated in all of the qualification football tournaments for Summer Olympics (except for 1980 when it qualified as hosts). An association football tournament was played as part of the 1988 Summer Olympics. The tournament featured 16 men's national teams from six continental confederations. The teams were drawn into four groups of four with each group playing a round-robin tournament. At the end of the group stage, the top two teams advanced to the knockout stage, beginning with the quarter-finals and culminating with the gold medal match at the Seoul Olympic Stadium on 1 October 1988. FC Sochi (russian: ФК «Сочи») was a Russian football team based in Sochi. It was founded in 2013. In the 2013–14 season, the team played commercial tournaments in Abkhazia on the Chernomorsom coast of Russia and neighboring countries before the 2014 Olympic Games in Sochi. In the 2014–15 season, the team advanced to the professional level, the third-tier Russian Professional Football League. It came in last place during that season and was relegated back to the amateur levels. It returned to the PFL for the 2016–17 season.
