Sergei Viktorovich Chekmezov (russian: Серге́й Викторович Чекмезов; born 10 October 1964) is a Russian professional football coach and a former player. He is the goalkeepers coach with FC Kaisar. Almaty (; kk, Алматы; ), formerly known as Alma-Ata ( kk, Алма-Ата), is the largest city in Kazakhstan, with a population of about 2 million. FC Vostok ( kk, Восток Футбол Клубы, ''Vostok Fýtbol Klýby'') was a Kazakhstan, Kazakh association football, football club from Oskemen (Ust-Kamenogorsk), and a founding member of the Kazakhstan Premier League in 1992. The club's best finish in the league was 5th place in 1997 and again in 1998. History On 19 September 2008, FC Shakhter and FC Vostok were found guilty of one count of match fixing. Coaches and management involved were banned from football for 60 months and both clubs were expelled from the Kazakhstan Premier League On 2 October 2008, the Football Federation of Kazakhstan revised these decisions. FC Vostok's expulsion was upheld, while FC Shakhter's punishment was reduced to a deduction of nine points. The Soviet Second League (russian: Чемпионат СССР по футболу (вторая лига), Soviet football championship (Second League)) was the third highest division of Soviet football, below the Soviet First League. The league was formed in 1971 in place of the Class A Second Group of the Soviet football championship just a year after the division was downgraded to the third tier.
