Serenity (comics)
''Serenity'' is a line of comic books published by Dark Horse Comics from 2005 to 2017. It is a canonical continuation of Joss Whedon's '' Firefly'' television series and the 2005 film '' Serenity'', which are all part of the ''Firefly'' media franchise.Lees, Gavin (February 2014). Comic Book
A comic book, also called comicbook, comic magazine or (in the United Kingdom and Ireland) simply comic, is a publication that consists of comics art in the form of sequential juxtaposed panels that represent individual scenes. Panels are often accompanied by descriptive prose and written narrative, usually, dialogue contained in word balloons emblematic of the comics art form. "Comic Cuts" was a British comic published from 1890 to 1953. It was preceded by "Ally Sloper's Half Holiday" (1884) which is notable for its use of sequential cartoons to unfold narrative. "Heart of Gold" is the 13th episode of the science fiction television series '' Firefly'' created by Joss Whedon. It is the last of three episodes that were not broadcast in the original 2002 Fox run. A Companion-trained friend of Inara's who runs a brothel calls for help from ''Serenity'' when a local bigwig reveals his intentions to take his baby from the woman he impregnated. Adam Hughes (born May 5, 1967) is an American comics artist and illustrator best known to American comic book readers for his renderings of pinup-style female characters, and his cover work on titles such as ''Wonder Woman'' and ''Catwoman''. He is known as one of comics' foremost cheesecake artists, and one of the best known and most distinctive comic book cover artists. "Serenity" is the two-part series finale and the original intended pilot for the American science fiction television series '' Firefly'' created by Joss Whedon. It was the first episode produced for the series and premiered on Friday, December 20, 2002 on Fox.
