Tarnobrzeg
Tarnobrzeg is a city in south-eastern Poland (historic Lesser Poland), on the east bank of the river Vistula, with 49,419 inhabitants, as of 31 December 2009. Situated in the Subcarpathian Voivodeship (Polish: ''Województwo podkarpackie'') since 1999, it had previously been the capital of Tarnobrzeg Voivodeship (1975–1998). Michał Józefczyk
Michał Józefczyk (September 29, 1946 – June 20, 2016) was a Polish Catholic priest since 1972, a prelate since 1994, a protonotary apostolic since 2002, and a provost of the Church of Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Tarnobrzeg since 1979. He was born in Krościenko Wyżne, and studied theology as a seminary clerical student in Przemyśl. He was consecrated as a priest in Miejsce Piastowe on June 17, 1972. Awards and orders Finalist of Provost Of The Year in 2000. Honoured as a "Provost of Third Millennium" by the Polish Catholic News Agency (Katolicka Agencja Informacyjna). Tarnobrzeg City Hall appreciated also his public and social work, by naming him "Citizen of Tarnobrzeg of 20th Century". Listeners of the local Radio Leliwa and viewers of cable Miejska Telewizja Tarnobrzeg named him "Citizen of Tarnobrzeg in 2008". Church of Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Tarnobrzeg ( pl, Kościół Matki Bożej Nieustającej Pomocy w Tarnobrzegu) is a church in Serbinów (Borough in Tarnobrzeg), Serbinów, Poland. The church consists of the upper, bottom church and buildings adjoining to them. The altar of the upper church consists of three parts: saint Michael the Archangel, the Cross, and the Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Mother of God of the Incessant Help. The whole is carried out in the form of mosaic. Demons attacking people are in a left hand of the altar. At the end of the first part of the altar crowds of people are becoming waves. The Archangel is separating them and with walking stick is reproving in the direction of the Cross and the Mother of God. In part centre a huge crucifix is found. There are no specific ideas of people or demons, but a symbolism of waves was kept.
