The Union of Serbia and Montenegro only competed at the Paralympic Games under that name at the 2004 Summer Paralympics in Athens. In 1992, its athletes competed as Independent Paralympic Participants. From 1996 to 2000, included, it was officially known as the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia. Serbia and Montenegro competed at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, Greece, from 13 to 29 August 2004. Previously known as the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, this was the nation's third and last joint appearance at the Summer Olympics before Serbia and Montenegro became separated independent states in 2006. The Olympic Committee of Serbia and Montenegro sent a total of 85 athletes to the Games, 78 men and 7 women, to compete in 14 sports. Men's basketball, football, volleyball, and water polo were the only team-based sports in which Serbia and Montenegro had its representation at these Games. Neil Robinson is a retired para table tennis player from the United Kingdom. He participated in seven consecutive Paralympic Games and won team titles with Scott Robertson and James Rawson in both world and European championships. He was appointed Member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (MBE) in the 2012 New Year Honours for services to disabled sport. Egon Kramminger (born 5 August 1948) is an Austrian para table tennis player. He is a four-time World medalist, 12-time European medalist and has participated at the Paralympic Games five times. Accident On 9 September 1967, Kramminger crashed his car into a high voltage mast while driving tired and was thrown twenty metres out of his car. He had compression fractures on his fifth, sixth and seventh thoracic vertebrae and spent eleven months in a hospital in Bietigheim then was moved to five different hospitals in a span of five years.
