Sera (Dragon Age)
Sera is a fictional character in BioWare's ''Dragon Age'' franchise. She first appears in 2014's '' Dragon Age: Inquisition'', where she serves as a party member. She is a member of a secret society called the Friends of Red Jenny, an enigmatic group of subversive vigilantes trying to undermine the perceived abuse committed by the nobility of Thedas, the setting of ''Dragon Age'', by engaging in espionage and social banditry. Sera is voiced by English actress Robyn Addison. Sera has received mixed commentary from critics; while some sources appreciated Sera for her irreverent personality or as a realistic portrayal of a LGBT character, other sources criticized the character's abrasiveness and called her irritating. The Inquisition was a group of institutions within the Catholic Church whose aim was to combat heresy, conducting trials of suspected heretics. Studies of the records have found that the overwhelming majority of sentences consisted of penances, but convictions of unrepentant heresy were handed over to the secular courts, which generally resulted in execution or life imprisonment. A quest, or mission, is a task in video games that a player-controlled character, party, or group of characters may complete in order to gain a reward. Quests are most commonly seen in role-playing games and massively multiplayer online games. Dance Hall Crashers (often abbreviated to DHC) was an American ska punk band formed in 1989 in Berkeley, California. Ska punk (also spelled ska-punk) is a fusion genre that mixes ska music and punk rock music together. (sometimes spelled skacore) is a subgenre of ska punk that mixes ska with hardcore punk.
