Seoul City Women's Football Club (Korean: 서울시청 여자 축구단) is a South Korean women's football club based in Seoul. Seoul WFC was founded in March 2004 and is owned by the Seoul Metropolitan Government. The club competes in the WK League, the top division of women's football in South Korea, and plays its home games at the Seoul World Cup Auxiliary Stadium. Seoul Metropolitan Government
The Seoul Metropolitan Government is a local government of Seoul, South Korea. The mayor is elected to a four-year term by the citizens of Seoul and is responsible for the administration of the city government. The Seoul Metropolitan Government deals with administrative affairs as the capital city of South Korea. Hence, it is more centralized than that of most other cities, with the city government being responsible for correctional institutions, public education, libraries, public safety, recreational facilities, sanitation, water supply, and welfare services. The 2014 WK League was the sixth season of the WK League, the top division of women's football in South Korea. Incheon Hyundai Steel Red Angels were the defending champions. The regular season began on 17 March 2014 and ended on 18 August 2014. Incheon Hyundai Steel Red Angels won their second consecutive league title. Seoul FC
Seoul FC was a South Korean semi-professional football club that competed for 27 years in the semi-professional division. It was owned and funded by Seoul Metropolitan Government. The club was founded on January 15, 1976, and joined the second stage of the 2003 National League season as temporary replacements for Hallelujah FC. Despite a reasonable mid-table finish, the club withdrew from the league as Hallelujah wanted to return for the 2004 season, and Seoul City were officially wound up on December 31, 2003. The 2021 WK League was the 13th season of the WK League, the top division of women's football in South Korea. The regular season ran from 26 April to 9 November 2021 (originally until 5 October, but was delayed because of the COVID-19 pandemic in South Korea). The 2020 WK League was the twelfth season of the WK League, the top division of women's football in South Korea. The regular season ran from 15 June to 15 October 2020. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the total amount of rounds were reduced from 28 to 21. Incheon Hyundai Steel Red Angels won the title for the eight consecutive season after defeating Gyeongju KHNP in the final. Before the season, Gumi Sportstoto relocated to the city of Sejong. The 2018 WK League was the tenth season of the WK League, the top division of women's football in South Korea. In the off-season, Icheon Daekyo ceased operations, while Changnyeong WFC joined the league. Suwon FMC (''Suwon Facilities Management Corporation'') changed its name to Suwon UDC (''Suwon Urban Development Corporation'').
