Seoul Arts High School
Seoul Arts High School (Hangul: 서울예술고등학교), also known by the Korean-language abbreviation (Hangul: 예고), is a private arts high school located within Pyeongchang-dong, Jongno District, in Seoul, South Korea. History Seoul Arts High School was founded on March 21, 1953 as ''Ewha Arts High School'' by the Yooha School Foundation (which was later renamed Ewha School Foundation and is the same foundation that operates Ewha Girls' High School and its other satellite schools). The name was changed later that year to reflect the school's coeducational status. Originally a government-aided school, it was granted autonomous (private) status, effective from the 2003–04 academic year. The school held a special exhibition in 2013 to celebrate its 50th anniversary. The incumbent principal, Geum Nan-se (금난새), was appointed in 2014 and is the school's 8th principal. Shi-Yeon Sung
Shi-Yeon Sung (born 1975, in Busan) is a South Korean classical conductor. In 2006, she became the first woman to win first prize in the Sir Georg Solti International Conductors' Competition. In 2007, she won second prize in Bamberg's Gustav Mahler Conducting Competition (no first prize was given that year). That year, she became the first female assistant conductor of the Boston Symphony Orchestra, a post she held through 2010. Lee Chang-sun (born February 7, 1988), better known by his stage name Lee Joon, is a South Korean actor, singer, model and DJ. He is best known as a former member of the South Korean boy band MBLAQ. Daejin Kim is a South Korean pianist, an alumnus of the Juilliard School. He won the first prize in the 6th Robert Casadesus International Piano Competition - which is called Cleveland Competition today, in 1985. Kim is a professor of piano, the Dean of the School of Music at the Korea National University of Arts, and the music director of the Changwon Philharmonic Orchestra. Sumi Hwang (; born 25 January 1986) is a South Korean soprano. Early life and education Hwang was born in Yecheon, South Korea. She studied at the Seoul National University where she received both her bachelor's and master's degrees in music. In 2011 she moved to Europe and completed the postgraduate course at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater München.
