Seorak Provinceng
Seorak Park (; born December 26, 1981), also known by her stage name SeoRock, is a South Korean singer and former VJ for MTV Korea. She currently lives in Manhattan, New York and studies law. Seorak is one of the first Korean singers to successfully crossover from performing mainstream music to performing in musical theater (her talent in being the leading role of "Carmen" made the musical a super hit). Early life Seorak was born in Seoul, South Korea. During her teenage years, she studied as an international student in Columbia, Missouri. After returning to South Korea, she studied at Sogang University, where she majored in Business Administration and graduated in the Class of 2001. Currently, Seorak lives in Manhattan, New York and studies law at the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law (Yeshiva University). After graduating in May 2010 with her J.D. and taking the NY Bar Exam in July 2010, she plans to make her comeback debut as a singer in South Korea or in the United States. ... Video Jockey
A video jockey (abbreviated VJ or sometimes veejay) is an announcer or host who introduces music videos and live performances on commercial music television channels such as MTV, VH1, Much (TV channel), MuchMusic and Channel V. Origins The term "video jockey" comes from the term "disc jockey", "DJ" ("deejay") as used in radio. MTV, Music Television (MTV) popularized the term in the 1980s (see List of MTV VJs). The MTV founders got their idea for their VJ host personalities from studying Merrill Aldighieri's club. Deoksu Palace
Deoksugung, also known as Gyeongun-gung, Deoksugung Palace, or Deoksu Palace, is a walled compound of palaces in Seoul that was inhabited by members of Korea's Royal Family during the Joseon monarchy until the annexation of Korea by Japan in 1910. It is one of the "Five Grand Palaces" built by the kings of the Joseon Dynasty and designated as a Historic Site. The buildings are of varying styles, including some of natural cryptomeria wood), painted wood, and stucco. Some buildings were built of stone to replicate western palatial structures. In addition to the traditional palace buildings, there are also forested gardens, a statue of King Sejong the Great and the National Museum of Art, which holds special exhibitions. SBS M is a South Korean pay television music channel owned by SBS Medianet, a division of SBS Media Holdings. It features South Korean pop artists, international music, news, and a few reality and variety programs. It was launched in 2001 as the South Korean version of the US MTV. In 2011, it came under the SBS Paramount unit, a joint venture of SBS Medianet and Paramount Networks EMEAA and became SBS MTV.
