Seok Rae-myeong
Seok Rae-myeong (May 19, 1936 – May 20, 2003) is a South Korean film director. Seok made his directorial debut with ''Until Next Time'' (1972). After the success of his film, ''Yalkae, a Joker in High School'' (1977), he directed ''Mischief's Marching Song'' (1977), ''Prankster of Girl's High School'' (1977) and ''Our High School Days'' (1978), leading a boom in teen movies during the late 1970s. In 2009, ''Yalkae, a Joker in High School'' is issued as part of the third series of Korean film stamps by Korea Post, which also includes '' The Road to Sampo'', ''Never Ever Forget Me'' and ''Chilsu and Mansu''. The Road To Sampo
''The Road to Sampo'' () is a 1975 South Korean film starring Baek Il-seob, Kim Jin-kyu and Mun Suk. The final and posthumous work of director Lee Man-hee, it is adapted from an original short story of the same name by Hwang Sok-yong. Lee collapsed during the editing phase of the film. He was admitted to a hospital and soon died. According to Baek Kyeol, a screenwriter, Lee's health was already at its worst when he took on the project and may have known that he might not live to see the film's completion. Chilsu And Mansu
''Chilsu and Mansu'' () is a 1988 South Korean film, and noted director Park Kwang-su's debut film. Though not a box-office hit (only attracting 73,751 people in theatres), the film is remembered as a major step towards freedom of expression in South Korean cinema. ''Chilsu and Mansu'' marks the directorial debut of Park Kwang-su, who would go on to become not only an accomplished director in his own right, but an influential role model for a new generation of socially conscious filmmakers.
