Seoirse Ó Dochartaigh
Seoirse Ó Dochartaigh (; born 17 June 1946) is an Irish singer, guitarist, composer, record producer, painter, writer, and publisher. Career Born in Belfast, Ó Dochartaigh's family's background is on the Inishowen peninsula in County Donegal where the family returned to in 1947. Story-telling, folklore, and history was transmitted through his father George O'Doherty (the name is an anglicization of his own), while music, and particularly singing, was passed on by his mother, Bridget (née Toner) who hailed from County Armagh. He studied fine arts (painting) at the Ulster College of Arts, Belfast (now the Belfast School of Art at Ulster University), 1966–70, followed by postgraduate studies in education at Cardiff University, 1970–1. In music, he did not pursue formal studies and was self-taught on the guitar. He is resident in County Donegal since 1977. Leonard Norman Cohen (September 21, 1934November 7, 2016) was a Canadian singer-songwriter, poet and novelist. His work explored religion, politics, isolation, depression, sexuality, loss, death, and romantic relationships. Fort Dunree ( or ''Dún Fhraoigh'' meaning "Fort of Heather") is a coastal defence fortification located on the west side of the Inishowen peninsula, County Donegal, Ireland. History The fort is located on a rocky promontory accessed over a natural fissure. Originally built as part of a series of fortifications defending Lough Swilly during the Napoleonic Wars, located opposite Knockalla Fort on the other side of the lough. The fort was neglected after the peace of 1815. In 1874 it was armed with seven 24 Pounder guns. It was remodelled in 1895 to have 2 x 4.7 inch (120 mm) QF guns below, and later 12 pounder (5 kg) QF and 2 x 6 inch (152 mm) guns in an upper land battery. Brian Bourke
Brian Bourke (born 1936 in Dublin) is an Irish people, Irish artist. Life Bourke was born in Dublin in 1936. His parents were Thomas Bourke (Tómas de Búrca) and Eileen (Eibhlín) Bourke (née Somers). Bourke left school early and got a job in the art department of the Player Wills tobacco company on the condition he enrolled at the National College of Art and Design (NCAD). He later studied at Saint Martin's School of Art in London. After London, he spent time in Germany and was strongly influence by the New Objectivity, Neue Sachlichkeit art movement. He returned to Dublin in 1957 and held his first one-man show in Dublin in 1964 at the Dawson Gallery. He travelled across Europe in the 1960s and 1970s.
