Senkō Hanabi
"Senkō" (Japanese 閃光) is Tomiko Van's second single under the Avex Trax label. The single was released on September 27, 2006, in two formats, four months after her last single. Overview "Senkō" is the second single to be released by solo artist Tomiko Van after the split up of the Japanese band Do As Infinity. The A-side song was used as the commercial song for the ringtone service site mu-mo, and for music.jp TV-CF. Online store, CD Japan, describes the title song as "a medium tempo track that's just perfect for autumn", and her official website simply describes it as a medium rock number. A drastic change from her previous single, "Senkō" takes on a much darker tone than the up-tempo "Flower". Lyrically, the song is about the sorrows and inward struggles of a woman who is by herself. , is a Japanese pop singer and occasional actress. She is as a member of the band Do As Infinity (DAI), along with Ryo Owatari and Dai Nagao, that has resumed activities after their 2005 split. Career Do As Infinity Beginnings as solo artist Tomiko Van began as a solo artist while she was with Do As Infinity with the song "Again", which appeared on the charity album '' Song Nation'', and later in 2003 with the song "Drive me nuts", which was recorded for trance DJs project Cyber X. Avex Trax
is a record label owned by Japanese entertainment conglomerate Avex Inc. The label was launched in September 1990, and was the first label by the Group. History Two years after Max Matsuura began a career distributing studio albums from other countries, he and his two Avex co-founders, Tom Yoda and Ken Suzuki, decided to found their own label. Aiming to compete with more established labels such as Nippon Columbia, Nippon Crown, BMG Victor, Victor Musical Industries, Toshiba-EMI, CBS/Sony, Teichiku Records, King Records, Nippon Phonogram and PolyGram K.K., they created the Avex Trax label. "Flower" is Tomiko Van's debut single under the Avex Trax label. The single was released on June 7, 2006 in two formats. Overview "Flower" is former Do As Infinity lead singer Tomiko Van's debut single. Released in two versions, CD only and CD+DVD, there are two different covers for the single, though the covers have very little differences to them. The A-side song "Flower" was used as the TBS drama Oishii Proposal theme song, and a piano version of the song was used for the sound track of the drama. The B-side "Brave" was used as the ending theme song for PlayStation 2 game '' Sengoku Basara 2''. Unlike most of the songs on her debut album, "Flower" is an up-tempo pop song with a feeling of summer to it. "Yumeji" is a pop-rock ballad by Japanese singer Tomiko Van. It is Van's third single that released on November 29, 2006. The cover jackets for the single were shot in a countryside not faraway from the city of Tokyo, and Van expressed that the covers would perfectly match the song. Do As Infinity
Do As Infinity is a Japanese pop and rock band that formed in 1999 with three members: vocalist Tomiko Van, guitarist Ryo Owatari, and guitarist and composer Dai Nagao. The band's name is sometimes abbreviated as DAI, alluding to the fact that Do As Infinity was named after Nagao. Signed to Avex Trax, the band released their debut single "Tangerine Dream" on September 29, 1999, followed by three more singles between 1999 and 2000, which appeared on their debut album '' Break of Dawn'' (2000).
