Senirusi Seruvakula
Senirusi Seruvakula (born 12 November 1969) is a Fijian rugby union coach. He is currently the Head Coach of the Fiji women's national rugby union team. Rugby career Seruvakula played for the Brothers Rugby Club in Brisbane for seven years. He made only one international appearance for Fiji in 2002 against Samoa. He spent four years with Hong Kong's Tigers, and had a stint with Châteauneuf-du-Pape in France's Fédérale 1 competition. Coaching Seruvakula coached the Fijian Drua from 2017 to 2019. He led them to win the 2018 National Rugby Championship. He has also coached the Fijian Latui in the Global Rapid Rugby competition, and the Fiji Warriors. Seruvakula was appointed as Head Coach of the Fiji women's national rugby union team in 2020. Fijian Drua
The Fijian Drua (currently known as the Swire, Swire Shipping Fijian Drua for sponsorship reasons) is a professional rugby union team based in Fiji that competes in the Super Rugby. The team was created by the Fiji Rugby Union and launched in August 2017, shortly before the 2017 National Rugby Championship. The team previously competed in the Australian National Rugby Championship competition between 2017 and 2019, when the tournament was disbanded. On 14 April 2021, New Zealand Rugby Union confirmed the side had been granted a licence to join the Super Rugby competition. 2018 National Rugby Championship
The 2018 National Rugby Championship was the fifth season of the top flight of Australian domestic rugby union. The competition began on 1 September and concluded on 27 October. Matches were broadcast on Fox Sports and the championship featured eight professional teams, seven from Australia and one from Fiji. The Fijian Drua won their first NRC title, defeating reigning champion side by 36–26 in the grand final held at Churchill Park in Lautoka. The Drua secured home ground advantage in the final by winning the minor premiership for the regular season and then beating in their semifinal. Queensland Country defeated the Western Force in the other semifinal to progress to the grand final. Fijian Drua also finished the season as winners of the Horan-Little Shield for 2018. Global Rapid Rugby was an international rugby union competition that launched a showcase series for six professional teams in 2019, played in locations across the Asia-Pacific region. The Fijian Latui is a professional rugby union team based in Suva that plays in the Global Rapid Rugby competition. Officially launched in March 2019, the Latui played four Pacific Showcase matches during May and June 2019, before joining the inaugural Global Rapid Rugby tournament in 2020. It was originally expected that the team would compete in 2019 for Rapid Rugby's Australian dollar, A$1 million first prize, but the tournament launch was postponed for a year due to the shortened time frame following World Rugby approval in November 2018. Samoa National Rugby Union Team
The Samoa national rugby union team (also known as Manu Samoa) represents Samoa in men's international rugby union and it is governed by the Samoa Rugby Union. They are also known as Manu Samoa, which is thought to derive from the name of a Samoan warrior. They perform a traditional Samoan challenge called the siva tau before each game.
