The Jungle Giants
The Jungle Giants are an Australian indie rock band from Brisbane, Queensland, who formed in 2011. The band have released four full-length albums and two EPs. Their fourth studio album, ''Love Signs'', was released on 23 July 2021. Career 2011–2012: Early years and EPs All four members of The Jungle Giants attended Mansfield State High School in Mansfield, Brisbane. Singer-Songwriter-Guitarist, Sam Hales and Cesira Aitken (Lead Guitarist) played in one band and, bassist, Andrew Dooris and Keelan Bijker (Drummer) in another. After completing school in 2009, Hales worked two jobs to fund a debut self-titled EP, which was recorded with local producer, Yanto Browning at Airlock Studios in January 2011. Hales contributed drums, as well as vocals and guitar on the EP, with Aitken on guitar and Dooris on bass, before recruiting Bijker to complete the band. The 2020 Triple J Hottest 100 was announced on 23 January 2021. It is the 28th countdown of the most popular songs of the year, as chosen by listeners of Australian radio station Triple J. The countdown was announced on the fourth weekend of January.
