Sender Films is an American film production company based in Boulder, Colorado. Productions include outdoor adventure films, television shows, and commercials. Company Sender Films integrates action with story-telling to create climbing/mountaineering and adventure sports documentary films. Sender Films goes inside the sport of hard-core climbing, focusing on climbers driven to obscure accomplishments. According to Outside Magazine, Sender Films has "focused on character-driven narratives..". Nick Rosen (born 21 August 1974) is an American filmmaker living in Colorado. He is a partner, writer, and producer at Sender Films. He is the director, with his partner Peter Mortimer, of the Emmy-winning documentary films ''The Alpinist'' and '' Valley Uprising'' and the National Geographic series, ''First Ascent,'' and a co-creator of the REEL ROCK Film Tour. The Front Range is a mountain range of the Southern Rocky Mountains of North America located in the central portion of the U.S. State of Colorado, and southeastern portion of the U.S. State of Wyoming. In mountaineering and climbing, a first ascent (abbreviated to FA in climbing guidebook, guide books), is the first successful documented climb to the top of a mountain or the top of a particular climbing route. Early 20th-century mountaineers and climbers focused on reaching the tops of iconic mountains (e.g. the eight-thousanders) and climbing routes (e.g. the great north faces of the Alps) by whatever means possible, often using considerable amounts of aid climbing, and/or with large expedition style support teams that laid "siege" to the climb. Chris Sharma
Chris Omprakash Sharma (born 23 April 1981) is an American rock climber who is considered one of the greatest and most influential climbers in the history of the sport. He dominated sport climbing for the decade after his 2001 ascent of '' Realization/Biographie'', the world's first-ever redpoint of a consensus graded route, and ushered in what was called a "technical evolution" in the sport. Kevin Jorgeson (born October 7, 1984) is an American rock climber. In 2015, with Tommy Caldwell, he successfully completed the first-ever free climb of '' The Dawn Wall'' on the southeast face of El Capitan in Yosemite National Park. Tommy Caldwell (born August 11, 1978) is an American rock climber who has set records in sport climbing, traditional climbing, and in big-wall climbing. Caldwell made the first free ascents of several major routes on El Capitan in Yosemite National Park. Marc-André Leclerc
Marc-André Leclerc (October 10, 1992 – March 5, 2018) was a Canadian rock climber, ice and mixed climber, and alpinist. He is known for his solo ascents–often in winter–of major ice and alpine climbing routes.
