''Send Me Your Love'' is the second studio album by American singer Kashif (musician), Kashif. It was released by Arista Records on June 18, 1984, in the United States. His highest-charting album, ''Send Me Your Love'' reached number five on the US Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart and spawned the hit singles "Baby Don't Break Your Baby's Heart", "Are You the Woman" and "Ooh Love". In 27th Annual Grammy Awards, 1985, "Edgartown Groove" brought Kashif and Al Jarreau a Grammy Award nomination for Grammy Award for Best R&B Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals#1980s, Best R&B Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal. Kashif (musician)
Kashif Saleem (born Michael Jones; December 26, 1956 – September 25, 2016) was an American multi-instrumentalist, singer, songwriter, record producer, artist, composer, author, director and educator from New York City. As a teenager, Kashif joined the funk group B. T. Express. He studied Islam and changed his name from Michael Jones to Kashif. He later signed with Arista Records enjoying success as a solo artist. Together with Stevie Wonder, he was considered a pioneer in urban music thanks to his specific synthesizer technology approach and the introduction of MIDI in his production. The Minimoog is an analog synthesizer first manufactured by Moog Music between 1970 and 1981. Designed as a more affordable, portable version of the modular Moog synthesizer, it was the first synthesizer sold in retail stores. It was first popular with progressive rock and jazz musicians and found wide use in disco, pop, rock and electronic music. Production of the Minimoog stopped in the early 1980s after the sale of Moog Music. In 2002, founder Robert Moog regained the rights to the Moog brand, bought the company, and released an updated version of the Minimoog, the Minimoog Voyager. Ronny Drayton (May 19, 1953 – February 7, 2020) was a guitarist based in the New York City area and Monroe, New York. Rhodes Piano
The Rhodes piano (also known as the Fender Rhodes piano) is an electric piano invented by Harold Rhodes, which became popular in the 1970s. Like a conventional piano, the Rhodes generates sound with keys and hammers, but instead of strings, the hammers strike thin metal tines, which vibrate next to an electromagnetic pickup. The signal is then sent through a cable to an external keyboard amplifier and speaker.
