Beau McCoy
Beau McCoy (born November 12, 1980) is an American politician who served as a member of the Nebraska Legislature for the 39th district from 2009 to 2017. Early life and education McCoy was born in Burlington, Colorado, has been active in the Republican Party since his teens. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in leadership, from Bellevue University, where he was the national committeeman for the Nebraska chapter of the Young Republicans. Career Prior to entering politics, McCoy worked as a home improvement contractor. He was elected to the Nebraska legislature in 2008 and re-elected in 2012. During his tenure, he served as vice chair of the Banking, Commerce and Insurance Committee and chair of the Committee on Committees. McCoy was also vice chair of the Council of State Governments and chair of the Midwestern Council of State Governments. John McCoy (American Politician)
John Richard McCoy (born October 29, 1943) (Tulalip Tribes of Washington) is an American politician of the Democratic Party based in Washington state. In 2013, he was appointed to the State Senate to fill a vacancy and represents the 38th Legislative District. He previously served more than 10 years in the Washington House of Representatives (2003-2013). McCoy is the only self-identified Native American in the state senate. In 2013, along with Jeff Morris (Tsimshian), he was one of the two Native Americans in the state legislature. Early life McCoy was born into a Tulalip Tribes family on the reservation. He attended local schools. He spent 20 years in the Air Force before retiring in 1981. He then became a computer technician at the White House, before leaving to start a career in the private sector. Matthew W. "Matt" McCoy (born March 29, 1966) is a member of the Board of Supervisors of Polk County, Iowa, representing the fifth district. A member of the Iowa Democratic Party, McCoy served in the Iowa Senate from 1997-2019 and the Iowa House of Representatives from 1993-1997. McCoy was the first openly gay member of the Iowa General Assembly. Biography McCoy graduated from Dowling Catholic High School, in West Des Moines, Iowa, and received his B.A. from Briar Cliff College in political science. Scott Daniel McCoy (born August 19, 1970) is an American politician and attorney from Florida. A Democrat, he is a former member of the Utah State Senate, where he represented the state's 2nd senate district which comprises portions of Salt Lake Citymap. He resigned from the senate in December 2009 to dedicate himself more fully to his legal career. Early life and career He was educated at William Jewell College in Liberty, Missouri (B.A., 1992), George Washington University in Washington, D.C. (M.A., 1994) and the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in New York City ( J.D., 2001). From January 2002 to March 2003, he served as law clerk to Justice Leonard H. Russon of the Utah Supreme Court.
