Frances Farley
Frances Farley (August 27, 1923 ~ January 16, 2004) was a Democratic member of the Utah State Senate, representing the state's Senate District 1. Early life and education Farley was born August 27, 1923, in Grand Forks, North Dakota. She received a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of North Dakota, and then went to New York University, and earned a master's degree in marketing. Political career After moving to Utah, Farley was elected a delegate to the 1972 Democratic National Convention. In 1976, Farley was elected to the Utah State Senate as a Democrat. At that time, Democrats were the majority party in the Utah Senate. She served in the Utah Senate until 1982. While in the state legislature, Farley was active in opposing deployment of the MX missile in Utah and Nevada. She also advocated for women in Utah. Hugh Farley
Hugh T. Farley (born November 26, 1932) is an American attorney, professor and Republican politician from Schenectady County, New York. He served as a member of the New York Senate from 1977 until his 2016 retirement. Early life and family Farley was born in Watertown, New York and raised in Indian Lake, New York. He graduated from high school in Watertown. Farley served in the U.S. Army and then was a high school teacher in Syracuse, New York and Maryland. Farley holds a Juris Doctor from American University School of Law, as well as a Bachelor of Science from the SUNY Albany. He is also a graduate of Mohawk Valley Community College. Steve Farley (born December 24, 1962) is an American politician, artist, and graphic designer who previously served as a State Senator from Arizona, including serving in the capacity of assistant minority leader. He also served previously in the Arizona House of Representatives, serving as assistant minority leader there as well. He is a member of the Democratic Party. On June 5, 2017, Farley announced he was running for Governor of Arizona in the 2018 election, challenging Republican incumbent Governor Doug Ducey, but lost in the Democratic primary.
