Sembrando En Cuba
''Sembrando'' is the debut extended play by Mexican singer Peso Pluma. It was released on 20 April 2022, through Prajin Parlay and Worms Music. Supported by the singles "Spiral" and its title track "Sembrando", the EP debuted at number 48 on the US Top Latin Albums chart with 3,000 album-equivalent units and won the award for Best Regional Mexican Album at the 2023 Premios Juventud. Background and recording The recording sessions of ''Sembrando'' took place in Culiacán, Guadalajara, and Los Angeles. In an interview with Bandamax, Peso Pluma said the ''Sembrando'' was released as a gift for his fans. Most of the songs from the EP were recorded in one day. "Spiral" was released in November 25, 2021, as the lead single from the EP. Peso Pluma
Hassan Emilio Kabande Laija (born 15 June 1999), known professionally as Peso Pluma, is a Mexican musician and singer. Learning to play the guitar during his teens, he developed his craft by writing songs inspired by regional Mexican music. After achieving moderate success with his first two studio albums, ''Ah y Qué?'' (2020) and ''Efectos Secundarios'' (2021), Pluma released "El Belicón" in 2022 with Raul Vega, selling 480,000 units and being certified 8× Platinum Latin certification by the RIAA. Regional Mexican Albums is a genre-specific record chart published weekly by ''Billboard'' magazine in the United States. The chart was established in June 1985 and originally listed the top twenty-five best-selling albums of mariachi, tejano, norteño, and grupero, which are all sub genres of regional Mexican music. Trap Music
Trap is a subgenre of hip hop music that originated in the Southern United States during the 1990s. The genre gets its name from the Atlanta slang word "trap", a house used exclusively to sell drugs. Trap music uses synthesized drums and is characterized by complex hi-hat patterns, tuned kick drums with a long decay (originally from the Roland TR-808 drum machine), and lyrical content that often focuses on drug use and urban violence.
