2015 Toronto International Film Festival
The 40th annual Toronto International Film Festival was held from 10 to 20 September 2015. On 28 July 2015 the first wave of films to be screened at the Festival was announced. Jean-Marc Vallée's ''Demolition'' starring Jake Gyllenhaal and Naomi Watts was the opening night film; '' Mr. Right'' by Paco Cabezas was the closing night film. The year's edition included two new sections called Platform and Primetime. At Platform, twelve films will be screened in front of a jury, with the best film of the program winning the C$25,000 Platform Prize. Film directors Claire Denis, Jia Zhangke, and Agnieszka Holland were selected as the jurors for this section. At Primetime, six high-quality television programs will be presented at public screenings with Question and Answer sessions with show creators. José Tenoch Huerta Mejía (; born 29 January 1981) is a Mexican actor. He has appeared in a number of movies in Latin America and Spain, starring in both feature films, short films, and '' Narcos: Mexico'', credited as Tenoch Huerta. He is featured in Mónica Maristain's book, ''30 Actors Made in Mexico''. He played Namor in '' Black Panther: Wakanda Forever'' (2022) set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), and was credited as Tenoch Huerta Mejía. Early life Huerta was born in Ecatepec de Morelos, State of Mexico, on 29 January 1981. His father, a film buff, enrolled him in an acting course with María Elena Saldaña, and Huerta's later studies were alongside Carlos Torres Torrija and Luis Felipe Tovar. Esteban "Steve" Avila ( ; born October 16, 1999) is an American football guard for the Los Angeles Rams of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at TCU. Early years Avila was born on October 16, 1999, in Arlington, Texas, and attended South Grand Prairie High School. Avila was rated a four-star recruit and committed to play college football at Texas Christian University. His father is Mexican-American, and his mother is African-American.
