Selecciones Ilustradas (sometimes known as ''S.I.'') is a Spanish art agency founded by Josep Toutain. Warren Publishing Selecciones Ilustradas is probably most well known in America due to its connections with Warren Publishing, where S.I.'s artists drew hundreds of stories between 1971 through 1983. The deal with Warren and S.I. began in 1971 when Toutain met with Warren publisher Jim Warren. S.I.'s artists began appearing in Warren magazines starting in Vampirella 11 in May 1971. By 1973 S.I. artists provided the majority of the covers and interior stories in Warren's magazines, a dominance that continued until the late 1970s. Emilia Castañeda Martínez (born 7 November 1943) is a Spanish painter. She was born in Madrid, but moved to Barcelona with her family as a child. She began training in 1956 at the academy of the painter Víctor Esteban Ripaux and at Escola de la Llotja in 1959 and Escuela Massana in 1969. By the 70s she had finished her studies and became a professional painter. Her works focus on the nude, generally placed in an abstract and dreamlike background that include objects that offer clues to the story told by the central figures. Jaime Brocal Remohí (June 11, 1936 – June 29, 2002; usually known in America as just Jaime Brocal) was a Spanish comic book artist. Career Born in Valencia, southern Spain, Brocal began his comic career at the age of 20, working of various adventure comics including Leslie Charteris' The Saint and an adaption of Jules Verne's '' From the Earth to the Moon''. Daniel Branca
Daniel Branca (December 7, 1951 – January 28, 2005) was an Argentine comic artist known for his work on Disney comic books. Born in Buenos Aires, Branca got interested in comics and arts at an early age, and started his career working for a children's magazine at 14. At 16, Branca found employment as assistant animator for an advertising company. During the 1970s, he worked with Oscar Fernández, producing various comics for Argentine magazines: "El Sátiro Virgen", "El Mono Relojero". Branca's history as an animator shows clearly in his drawing style, which is elastic and energetic. Branca and Fernández moved to Barcelona, Spain, in 1976. After their collaboration '' Caramelot'', Branca began to illustrate Disney comics for the Danish publisher Egmont. Joaquín Blázquez (born 28 January 2001) is an Argentine professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Talleres. Club career Blázquez was spotted by Talleres scouts in 2013, as he soon joined the Córdoba club.
