Seize (band)
Seize are a British electronic band. History The origins of Seize date back to 1997, when Sandrine Gouriou and Steven Young collaborated to form the project Seize The Day, with the duo going on to produce their debut EP, ''Blades''. A year later, they changed the name to Seize. Following their debut gig in London in 2000, the pair went on to perform across the country. The duo's second single, "Victim", was released on 12" white label, featuring a club-oriented remix. 2001 saw Seize release their first album, ''Lunacy''. In order to expand the scope of their live performances, Seize recruited bass guitarist Rosie Harris in 2002, and by then the group were heading towards a more breakbeat and trance direction. With the help of producer Mark O'Grady, the band created remixes, such as the Seize version of The Nursery's "Caprice". Wave-Gotik-Treffen
The Wave-Gotik-Treffen (WGT; ) is an annual world festival for "dark" music and "dark culture" in Leipzig, Germany. 150+ bands and artists from various backgrounds (gothic rock, gothic metal, EBM, industrial, noise, darkwave, neo-folk, neo-classical, medieval, experimental, deathrock and punk music being examples) play at several venues throughout the city over four days on Whitsuntide. The festival also features multiple all-night dance club parties, several fairs with medieval, gothic, and related merchandise, a variety of cultural exhibitions and performances, large themed picnics, and a number of unofficial fringe events. Visage (band)
Visage were a British synthpop band, formed in London in 1978. The band became closely linked to the burgeoning New Romantic fashion movement of the early 1980s, and are best known for their hit " Fade to Grey" which was released in late 1980. In the UK, the band achieved two Top 20 albums ('' Visage'' and '' The Anvil'') and five Top 30 singles before the commercial failure of their third album (''Beat Boy'') led to their break-up in 1985. The band has seen various line-up changes over the years, all fronted by vocalist Steve Strange, who resurrected the band name in the 2000s. In 2013, the most recent line-up of the band released ''Hearts and Knives'', the first new Visage album in 29 years. Apoptygma Berzerk
Apoptygma Berzerk (; commonly abbreviated to APB or APOP) is a Norwegian musical group. They have achieved success with a brand of synth-pop, and ballads backed with electronic rhythms, commonly known within the scene and referring to themselves as "futurepop". Apoptygma Berzerk has over 30 releases and won awards and Top 10 spots in Germany and Scandinavia. Apoptygma Berzerk has toured Europe, North America, South America, Israel and Australia with bands such as VNV Nation, Beborn Beton, Icon of Coil and Unheilig. Formation The band was formed by Stephan Groth and Jon Erik Martinsen in 1989. Front 242
Front 242 is a Belgian electronic music group that came into prominence during the 1980s. Pioneering the style they called electronic body music, they are a profound influence on the electronic and industrial music genres. History Formation Front 242 were formed in 1981 in Aarschot, near Leuven, Belgium, by Daniel Bressanutti and Dirk Bergen, who wanted to create music and graphic design using emerging electronic tools. Prior to forming Front 242, Bressanutti worked on a music project called Prothese that had already produced several one-off tracks. The ''front'' part of the name comes from the idea of an organized popular uprising and the fact that the word can be translated in many languages while retaining the same meaning.
