Ludovico Seitz, or Ludwig Seitz (11 June 1844, Rome - 11 September 1908, Albano Laziale) was an Italian painter of German ancestry, who served as Director of the Vatican Galleries. Life and work His father was the painter, Alexander Maximilian Seitz, a member of the Nazarene movement; originally from Munich. His mother, Gertrud née Platner, was the daughter of the painter and diplomat, Ernst Zacharias Platner. King Ludwig I was his godfather. He initially studied art with his father, then with Friedrich Overbeck and, later, from Peter von Cornelius. In 1887, he became an Inspector (curator) at the Vatican Galleries, and was promoted to Director in 1894. He belonged to several Catholic artists' associations and produced numerous religious frescoes, mostly in Nazarene style, but also with hints of Historicism. Sir John Alexander Macdonald (January 10 or 11, 1815 – June 6, 1891) was the first prime minister of Canada, serving from 1867 to 1873 and from 1878 to 1891. Jochen Seitz (born 11 October 1976) is a German professional football manager and former player who is the head coach of Regionalliga Bayern club Viktoria Aschaffenburg. Seitz played professionally in his country for Hamburger SV, SpVgg Unterhaching, VfB Stuttgart, FC Schalke 04, Kaiserslautern, TSG 1899 Hoffenheim and Alemannia Aachen. Jane Seitz (also known as Juliane Sperr; 17 August 1942 – 4 January 1988) was a German film editor. Seitz edited different films produced by Bernd Eichinger. She was his girlfriend for some time and committed suicide at the age of 45. George Seitz (politician)
George Seitz (29 September 1941 – 5 June 2015) was an Australian Labor Party politician who was a member of the Legislative Assembly in Victoria. Seitz migrated to Australia with his family in 1956, and became a member of the Labor Party (ALP) in 1971. A teacher at St. Albans Technical School, in 1982, he was elected to represent the Keilor electorate. He served as Labor's whip while the party was in Opposition during the 1990s. On 13 May 2006, ''The Age'' newspaper in Melbourne published two articles alleging that Seitz had been involved in branch stacking within his electorate, using the proceeds of community bingo games and a rental apartment to pay for memberships to the Labor Party. It was alleged that Seitz used his influence within the ALP to secure 2007 pre-selection for prominent Labor Right faction leader Bill Shorten to run for Federal Parliament. George "Clarence" Seitz (December 12, 1894 – December 10, 1976) was an American World War I military veteran, who was murdered in the neighborhood of Jamaica in New York City on December 10, 1976. Police recovered his remains 43 years later, and arrested his alleged murderer in 2021. Disappearance The victim was a World War I veteran who went by "Clarence". He was reported missing after leaving his house to get a haircut; at the time, Seitz was 81 years old. Investigation There were no leads and the investigation was placed in the cold cases file, abandoned for decades. However, in early 2019, a woman in her 50s informed the police that as an 11-year-old girl, she had seen her mother's companion dismember and bury a body.
