Seidy López is a Mexican-American actress and director. López is best known for her starring debut in the critically acclaimed film ''Mi Vida Loca''. She appeared in ''Solo'', the hit film ''Selena'', an episode of '' ER'' directed by Quentin Tarantino, and in Showtime's ''Resurrection Boulevard''. Mérida, Yucatán
Mérida () is the capital of the Mexican state of Yucatán, and the largest city in southeastern Mexico. The city is also the seat of the eponymous Municipality. A ''luminaria'', a small bonfire are lit during Las Posadas, a nine-day holiday running December 16–24. Farolito is a small paper lantern (commonly a candle set in some sand inside a paper bag), particularly in the broader Southwestern United States at Christmas time, especially on Christmas Eve. Especially significant in New Mexico, they are cultural hallmarks of the Pueblos and Spanish of New Mexico. Electrically-lit Farolitos are also used, consisting of a string of standard incandescent "Christmas lights" with the bulbs covered with a tan plastic sleeve, made to about the size and shape of a small paper bag.
