Sehol
Sehol () or previously, Sol, is a Chinese car brand launched on April 24, 2018 by a SEAT and JAC Volkswagen Automotive Co., Ltd. joint venture. The original name Sol itself derives from the word ''sol'' which in Spanish stands for sun and pays a tribute from one part to the Spanish roots of the brand and on the other part to renewable energy powered vehicles planned to make up its range. The brand comes as a compromise among all parts in a stance where the original plan included the direct use of the SEAT brand name with the Chinese local authorities negating in a change of mind and calling for a whole new local brand to be launched. Recent lift of caps on foreign car makers controlling their electric vehicle joint ventures in China, however the car company has pushed Volkswagen Group examining a buyout of their Chinese partner JAC Motors and subsequently their formed joint venture. Sehol X6
The Sehol X6 is a compact crossover produced by JAC Motors under the Sehol brand. The Sehol X6 was originally planned to be named the Sehol X5 during early development, and was based on the same platform as the JAC Refine S5 while being updated for the Sehol brand featuring a completely different design. Being also a compact crossover, the Sehol X6 was positioned lower than the Sehol QX or globally the JAC JS6 and above the Sehol X4. The Sehol QX is a Crossover (automobile), compact crossover produced by JAC Motors under the Sehol brand. The Sehol QX was briefly called the Sol QX before launch and was renamed after the Sehol brand name was established. It is the first brand new model of the Sehol brand. For outside China, the car was sold of rebadged JAC JS6. Overview The Sehol QX was launched on the Mainland China, Mainland Chinese market during 2021 Auto Shanghai. The Sehol X4 or previously the JAC Jiayue X4 is a compact crossover produced by JAC Motors under the Sehol brand. The Sehol X4 was briefly called the Sol X4 and JAC Jiayue X4 before the Sehol brand name was established. The Sehol X4 is essentially an extensive facelift of the previously launched JAC Refine S4. Overview The X4 was launched on the Mainland Chinese market in June 2020 as a modernized variant of the JAC Refine S4 and remains available there.
