Segunda Federación, previously called Segunda RFEF, also officially known as Segunda B, is the fourth tier of the Spanish football league system containing 90 teams divided into five groups. It is administered by the Royal Spanish Football Federation. It is the second tier outside the top two professional leagues, the ''Primera División'' (also known as La Liga) and ''Segunda División'' (also known as La Liga 2), being behind '' Primera Federación'' and above ''Tercera Federación''. The division also includes the reserve teams of a number of La Liga and La Liga 2 teams. History On 6 May 2020, the RFEF announced the creation of a new, two-group, 40-team third division called Primera División RFEF, which resulted in the former third division, Segunda División B, dropping down a level and becoming Segunda División RFEF; the changes were made effective for the 2021–22 campaign. Royal Spanish Football Federation
The Royal Spanish Football Federation (; RFEF) is the governing body of football in Spain. Founded on 29 September 1913, it is based in La Ciudad del Fútbol of Las Rozas de Madrid, Las Rozas, a municipality near Madrid. RFEF organizes the national cup competitions (Copa del Rey, Copa de S.M. el Rey and Supercopa de España) and administers the competition committee of the Campeonato Nacional de Liga (La Liga, Primera División and Segunda División), including the handling of the trophy, even though they are organized by Liga de Fútbol Profesional, LaLiga. Segunda División B
Segunda División B (English: second division B) was the third tier of the Spanish football league system containing 102 teams divided into five groups, until it was replaced by the new structure in 2021. It was administered by the Royal Spanish Football Federation. It was below the top two professional leagues, the ''Primera División'' (also known as La Liga) and the ''Segunda División'', and above the ''Tercera División''. The Segunda División B included the reserve teams of a number of La Liga and Segunda División teams. As of the 2023–24 in Spanish football, 2023-24 season, its successors are the Primera Federación and the Segunda Federación. The league's last ever season was in 2020-21 Segunda División B, 2020-21. Club Deportivo Laredo is a Spanish football team based in Laredo, in the autonomous community of Cantabria. Founded in 1918, it plays in , holding home matches at ''Campo de Fútbol San Lorenzo'', which has a capacity of 2,500. History CD Laredo was founded in 1918 as Olimpia Sport Club. Unión Popular de Langreo is a List of football clubs in Spain, Spanish football team based in Langreo, in the autonomous community of Asturias. Club Deportivo Guijuelo is a Spanish football team based in Guijuelo, Province of Salamanca, in the autonomous community of Castile and León. Real Sociedad Gimnástica de Torrelavega is a Spanish football team based in Torrelavega, in the autonomous community of Cantabria. Founded on 28 September 1907 it is the oldest football club in the region, and currently plays in , holding home matches at '' Campos del Malecón'', with a capacity of 6,007 seats. History Gimnasticá de Torrelavega was founded in 1907. This makes the club one of the oldest football teams in Spain, as well as the oldest professional team from Cantabria. UM Escobedo
Unión Montañesa Escobedo is a Spanish football team based in Escobedo, Camargo, in the autonomous community of Cantabria. Founded in 1917 it plays in , holding home matches at '' Estadio Eusebio Arce''. History Escobedo was founded in 1917, but started playing in 1964. The team played in the regional leagues for the vast majority of its first 26 years, with the one exception being a season-long stay in Tercera División in 1967–68. The team returned to the category, now the national fourth division, twenty-one years later, remaining there for the subsequent decades. Real Club Deportivo Fabril, previously known as ''Deportivo B'', is the reserve team of Real Club Deportivo de La Coruña, it is based in A Coruña, in the autonomous community of Galicia. Coruxo Fútbol Club is a Spanish football club based in the parish of Coruxo, Vigo, in the autonomous community of Galicia.
