Johannes "Hans" Segers (born 30 October 1961) is a Dutch football coach and former professional player who played as a goalkeeper. As a player, he notably spent eight years with Wimbledon where he featured in the Premier League. He also played in England's top flight for Nottingham Forest and Tottenham Hotspur. He had spells in his native the Netherlands with PSV Eindhoven and in Scotland with Dunfermline Athletic, and in the Football League with Sheffield United, Stoke City, Wolverhampton Wanderers. Gustaaf Segers (29 December 1848 – 3 April 1930) was a Flemish writer, Dutch and German teacher and Vondel scholar. Biography He graduated from the state normal school in Lier as a teacher. He received his first appointment in 1868 in the municipal education of Leuven. In 1873 a story by Segers was published in ''De Vlaamsche Kunstbode''. In 1875 he became a teacher in Antwerp, and in 1879 he became a teacher of Dutch language and literature and of German language at the normal school in Lier. His debut ''Dorpsgeschiedenissen'' was also published that year. A second collection of short stories, ''In de Kempen'' followed in 1882. During his career Segers published several essays on Joost van den Vondel, the first in 1887. In total, he produced about thirty texts about this writer, his life and his work. Gert Jan Maarten "Gert-Jan" Segers (born 9 July 1969) is a Dutch politician serving as Leader of the Christian Union since 2015. He has been a member of the House of Representatives since 2012 and parliamentary leader since 2015. Early career A native of Lisse, Segers studied political science at Leiden University and obtained a master's degree in Western–Islamic relations and the Middle East at Johns Hopkins University. Hercules Pieterszoon Seghers or Segers ( 1589 – 1638) was a Dutch painter and printmaker of the Dutch Golden Age. Mount Segers () is a mountain at the south extremity of Sullivan Heights in the Sentinel Range, Ellsworth Mountains in Antarctica, separated from Vinson Massif to the southwest by Vranya Pass. It is situated 11 km (7 mi) east of Mount Tyree, on the east side of the head of Crosswell Glacier and surmounting Hinkley Glacier to the southeast.
