Sefton RUFC
Sefton Rugby Union Football Club is an amateur rugby union team who are based in Liverpool, England. Sefton, is the oldest established Rugby Union Club in Liverpool. Situated in the West Derby district of the city, the Club can now claim to field sides from all age groups most weeks of the season. Current squad Location Sefton RUFC Is located on Thornhead lane in the West Derby area of Liverpool Just of Leyfield Road. The clubhouse has had a lot of work done to it in recent years. Most notably including the installation of a brand new kitchen and flooring throughout the changing rooms. The club also has its own carpark that is capable of holding all the cars visiting on busy match days. Sefton has three rugby pitches that are maintained throughout the year. currently two of those pitches are equipped with full pitch flood lights and there are plans to get the third pitch flood lit too. North 2 West
North 2 West is a regional English rugby union league at the seventh tier of club rugby union for teams from Cheshire, Cumbria, Merseyside, Lancashire and Greater Manchester. The division was introduced for the 2019-20 season to form a new league at tier 7 - meaning that Lancs/Cheshire 1 would drop to being a tier 8 league. Promoted teams enter North 1 West while relegated teams typically drop down to Lancs/Cheshire 1 or Cumbria. Each season teams from North 2 West are picked to take part in the RFU Intermediate Cup (a national competition for clubs at level 7). Lancs/Cheshire Division 1 (usually referred to as Lancs/Cheshire 1) was a regional English Rugby Union league for teams from Cheshire, Merseyside, Lancashire and Greater Manchester, ranked at tier 8 of the English league system. The top two clubs are promoted to North 2 West and the bottom two clubs are relegated to Lancs/Cheshire 2. Each season two teams from Lancs/Cheshire 1 are picked to take part in the RFU Senior Vase (a national competition for clubs at level 8) - one affiliated with the Cheshire RFU, the other with the Lancashire RFU. The division was initially known as North-West West 1 when it was created in 1987, and had a number of different names since with South Lancs/Cheshire 1 being the longest running. West Derby ( ) is an affluent suburb of Liverpool, England. It is located East of the city and is also a Liverpool City Council ward. At the 2011 Census, the population was 14,382. History West Derby Mentioned in the ''Domesday Book'', West Derby achieved significance far earlier than Liverpool itself. In the game of rugby union, there are 15 players on each team, comprising eight forwards (wearing jerseys numbered 1–8) and seven backs (numbered 9–15). In addition, there may be up to eight replacement players "on the bench", numbered 16–23.
