Seehas is a regional rail service that operates between Engen and Konstanz in the district of Konstanz, in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. It is managed and operated by SBB GmbH, the German subsidiary of Swiss Federal Railways. It began operation in 1994. History Service began on 23 May 1994, with the extension of existing services from (in Switzerland) to Engen. These were operated by Mittelthurgaubahn, a Swiss company. On Mittelthurgaubahn's bankruptcy in 2003-2004, operation passed to , the German subsidiary of THURBO. EuroTHURBO itself merged into SBB GmbH in 2005. In 2006, SBB introduced Stadler FLIRT trains on the route and increased the service frequency to every 30 minutes. SBB GmbH, also known as SBB Deutschland, is a railway company that operates services in Germany and the cantons of Basel-City and Schaffhausen in Switzerland. It is a subsidiary of Swiss Federal Railways, the state railway company of Switzerland. It operates various S-Bahn services in Baden-Württemberg near the border with Switzerland, some of which service stations in Switzerland. History SBB GmbH was formed in 2005 from the merger of two companies: a different SBB GmbH, and . Black Forest Railway (Baden)
The Baden Black Forest Railway (German: ''Badische Schwarzwaldbahn'') is a twin-track, electrified railway line in Baden-Württemberg, Germany, running in a NW-SE direction to link Offenburg on the Rhine Valley Railway (''Rheintalbahn'') with Singen on the High Rhine Railway (''Hochrheinbahn''). Passing directly across the Black Forest, through spectacular scenery, the route is 150 km long, ascends 650 metres from lowest to highest elevation, and passes through 39 tunnels and over 2 viaducts. It is still the only true mountain railway in Germany to be built with two tracks, and is the most important railway line in the Black Forest. High Rhine Railway
The High Rhine Railway (german: Hochrheinbahn) is the Deutsche Bahn railway line from Basel to Singen. It is also part of the tri-national S-Bahn Basel and referenced as . It was built by the Grand Duchy of Baden State Railways as part of the Baden Mainline which followed the Rhine upstream from Mannheim to Constance (Konstanz). Konstanz (or ''Constance'') is a ''Landkreis'' (district) in the south of Baden-Württemberg on the German-Swiss border, situated along the shores of Lake Constance. Neighboring districts are (from west clockwise) Schwarzwald-Baar, Tuttlingen, Sigmaringen and Bodenseekreis. To the south it borders the Swiss cantons of Zurich, Thurgau and Schaffhausen.
